Re: sensenich 3 blade on a 520

I have the 3 blade on a 300hp 540. I took off a 6 blade warp. The warp had more snap and push, if it wasn’t for the ease of adjusting the 3 blade I might go back to the warp.

Re: Srnenich 72

I’ve had both, I miss my 6 blade warp. It had more push and snap. Also it took a beating. Hard to beat a solid blade vs hollow.

Putting in a lift. No idea what my boat weighs.
Anyone have an idea? 13.5 bandit hull. With polymer, stainless rigging full cage, one batt, no side lockers, 540 motor 3 seat. 22 gall tank.

Plugs are so cheap and last till they finally start to rust. What would the advantage be for a peanut plug

I tried a Bimini too, it really intensified the prop noise, enough that I wouldn't even put it up while underway. Went back to an umbrella.

Re: What propeller should I buy for a lycoming O-540

It will have three small raised marks molded into the shank of the blade. Unless you have had the prop refinished with DuraSkin you should be able to find them. Look right along where it goes into the hub and generally they will be in proximity to where the outer clamshell and base join in that sea...

Re: 0540 narrow angle valve issue

My 540 did the same thing a couple years ago, call Jurnigan for info on which way it comes out, mine screwed out the same side as the broken stud and I only had to take off 1 cylinder and the opposing nut on the other side. Jr had a stud, I had a local machine shop make me a couple out of harder ste...
