Re: Mounting/holder for umbrella on airboat

Most folks use a straight flush mount fishing rod holder mounted in floor board in between front and rear seats. You can grab nice ones at any marine store. Drill the hole and drop it in with the screws really simple, you may have to modify your seadek to fit it though. Sorry no pics not at home lol...

Re: Water level south of 520

Ted, its drying up quick! Big marsh is a pretty much a night ride once the dew sets up, puddle jumping at best and thats not much, if you don't like cherry red headers I'd stay middle river, running south till we get some rain.

Re: St John's river

Slid south from the cabbage yesterday with pops through the big marsh, only dry ground we noticed was the middle of Moccasin island and around the cabin on Winder, and it ain't much, Oakhead was same way, table deep! Some mighty big lizards working the shallows as well. Water was in the grill at Dav...

Re: St John's river

There were jet skis out Saturday night after dark as well north of 520. Be careful lots of water and lots of folks pushing the Darwin theory out there as well, passed a bay boat behind 7 palms running WOT as well. Trying to stay with the snakes and fire ants to avoid the crowds if possible. FWC and ...

When mine was outside I used a pontoon boat cover. Sportsmanguide brand for 20' pontoon fit great with some good bunjie cord. About $100 bucks.

Re: Lots of Kicker Boats

Not too many to the north!!!! We almost headed out south yesterday from 520 but decided to try north since it was a weekend and great weather day, figured middle river would be busy. Them deep turns are holding fish.

Overstreet landing parking at Kissimmee

Heading over tomorrow morning wondering if the landing is under water for parking like over here in Brevard? Never launched there and wondered if we should just put in at Cypress?
Thanks

Nice collection of deer! I'm not on my SC lease this year, just doing river hunts until my December trip to my buddies Xmas tree farm. Good luck with helping them bucks to a dirt nap.

Re: Remembering Dusty

I first met Dusty at one of the rally/events at Loughmans when we first joined SA. My then 5 y/o son was admiring the big man's sled in awe of the Confederate flag/Cracker theme. We had parked next to him and he had my son wrapped up in a typical D-Brewster tale (kid friendly) of course! Only knowin...

Motor choices/reliabilty can of worms!

In the market for a new ride and seriously thinking about leaving the AC world! Had some questions for those that have them or know. I have had the opportunity to test drive some stupid powerful boats recently, but I just ride and watch the speedsters! I want a ride/family/hunt boat 14x8 aluminum hu...

Best place to launch from HWY 50 or Loughmans?

Where is the best place to launch the boat from near Midway fish camp on Hwy 50? My pops lives up there in Tville and has another boat and was wondering if 50 or Loughmans would be better scenery? Thanks in advance!

Re: 540 hard to start hot

The 540 A/V I used to have started to do that, and it was the starter, and on mine the guts were getting shot. It was a toyota starter but had some time on it and once it was rebuilt, never had that problem again until the ground cable started to show some age. Should be an easy fix. Remember to als...
