Our TAA Members Drake Miller, David Cooper, Peter Johns, and myself along with several of our friends for guides took 25 in total disabl...

Re: Need Everyones UPDATED files/ Email for an IMPORTANT mes

My PM address is still the same. You should have that if not let me know.
Maybe a good follow up post to say the "Important TAA Email has been sent" so any TAA member that did not get it can be brought up to speed.

Re: Grass Planting Corpus Christi

Hey Jeff The wind was not too bad it actually helped getting off the islands at times. As you probably found out there is alot of oyster shell contents in the islands and banks. I managed to stick a couple of times and had to call on the extra pony"s to get off the bank. I guess I could have unloade...

Grass Planting Corpus Christi

This morning we finished another grass planting for the Coastal Bay Foundation. Slayride (Dana) and myself took maybe 45 kids back and forth from one island to the next. Some were planting new grass plugs and others we dropped off on previously planted islands so they could water the grass on them. ...

Re: Next Grass Planting 26 March, Volunteers Needed

Ahhhh as I recall sitting on the bank one day watching the "Slay Ride" traverse the flats my friend said over a cold one "Thar goes Dana....He sure goes thru alot of engines." Im ready to chase you and your "Slay Ride" around those artificial islands on Saturday if need be. You may even get the chan...

Re: Next Grass Planting 26 March, Volunteers Needed

Finished final assembly on motor today. Prop and rudders are back on and seems to be running ok in the driveway. Will do the smoke test underfire at the planting. You can count me in if you still need me to go. Dana has big shoulders if it blows, he can tow me back, and and I can drink a cold one wh...

Coastal Bays Workshop Final Report Needs to be Rewritten!

As it happens, one of my duck-hunter clients, Dave Ankney, heard about the WWP's proposal to close areas to motorized boat traffic and asked me about it and to keep him informed about how the issue developed. I did that including sending him a copy of the survey and the Draft Report from the Worksho...

Larry McKinneys Report on Workshop

Here are the links to the worshops final report written and interpreted by Dr. Larry McKinney. This is what I commented on for the first draft. Some verbiage was changed from the first draft and it is somewhat reflected in the final draft. The user groups represented at the workshop seemed to be equ...

Re: 2011 Airboat Calendars

Sorry you were not at the recent wade paddle pole workshop. I think your company should have been there. The host said that boat builders were welcome and none showed up. If your boat sales are down in the future it maybe because we have no place to use them I also dont think this forum should be us...

Re: Coastal Bays Bend Foundation Forum Results

And the Survey Says!? Ahhh lets do a survey to see what the survey says! The total number of participants at the workshop that did not receive the survey that I am only aware of is now up to three. Ive also got a strong suspicion that the report that will be sent to the tpwd will be based on the res...

Re: Coastal Bays Bend Foundation Forum Results

Jeff Got your pm. You did a fine job on it. I also sent my thoughts to the Harte Institute but my comments were not nearly as professional as yours. I would also say that I know of one other participant at the workshop who has not received his online survey to fill out. One now starts to ponder if t...

Jeff As you can see from the letter attached to the survey we are once again go to vote on the subjects in the survey. I can only see "Hanging Chads" with this whole thing. I like seeing the hands up vote like we did at the meeting not some survey results we cannot verify. I wish I could write more ...

You have my vote as well. Also if we had a committee to help in discussing our points of view and concerns would be good. It may not be a bad idea to have the groups concerns outlined in some pm'S.

Lets not forget the disabled and handicapped and some of us who are just not p...
