Re: BMW m57 engine for DD? Diesel.

One thing you may want to do before pulling the trigger on putting an engine like this on a Airboat, is to make sure you can get a prop for it. I am not sure about other companies, but many of my personal experiences with diesel dd engines, is that they are very rough on props, especially composite ...

Re: Help on new blades

Hey guys i need some help. I’m looking to upgrade to a 3 blade I’m looking torn between the wisper tip 2.0 and the Sensenich jw 76 inch. I’m in the ball park of 425 hp and 430-440 torque so i think i can turn it. 2:1 century belt drive on a 14x7 diamond back. The L80JW series would be a better comp...

Re: Will 3 blade help

confirm your prop model... NGQ only comes left hand rotation. With the Rotator you would need a right hand rotation prop. I'm also thinking the R's and bigger aren't available that short without being trimmed a bunch. The NGQ is available in right hand rotation for gearbox applications.. mostly lik...

Re: Sensenich J series prop

Sorry about the confusion on what we are trying to do with our new line... Most Airboater's know that originally, Sensenich came into the composite Airboat market to build replacement blades for Powershift products way back when. We produced just blades for guys that needed something in a crunch or ...

Q series blades put in your same hub will be your best option for better overall thrust and reduced prop sound.

Re: J series

Both props will perform very well on your engine. The 2 blade JW will have a great low end punch right off idle and push really good on dry.
The 3 blade JN will be snappy and will build strong thrust through the mid range and up into peak rpm. This prop will have great top speed and be smoother also.

Re: Looking for some reviews on the new alpha prop

I think there has only been maybe 2 sold for 540 setups.. Both guys said that it runs like a 2 blade Q with better top end. When we thrust tested it against a Q the numbers where very similar, it had just a bit more at 2000, nut nothing significant. If you are looking for something snappy and fast, ...

Re: need new blades NGQ vs. Q

The winglet will be removed if we have to trim them, we have a few GPU owners running 74" NGQ setups and they say that it performs great. One other option would be to try a set of the 68NGQ blades, this will produces a 70" diameter propeller that has the potential to perform better than your current...

Re: need new blades NGQ vs. Q

One thing to consider is that the NGQ blade is molded 1" longer than the Q and if you are running 72" now, that means the blades are already trimmed because the hubs used for your engine are the long hubs and they produced a 74" prop with full lenght Q series blades. So long story short, if you swit...

1st off, I am very sorry for this late post... We have been designing, testing and ramping up production for a year now. Re: 320 prop recomendations

I have a good setup for you, give me a shout on Monday. You can get me at the office at 813-752-3711 , hit the #2 for composite props and ask for Darrin. We normally run 66-70" props on 320's, but I'll have a nice little 62" prop that I think you will like that will work with your limited amount of ...

The coating normally does not have that type of failure unless it is struck by something, but I'm sure we can get them fixed right back up and give it another go. I'll look forward to your call.

Re: what ya think

The 74" NGQ was designed for engines producing more power, but we have had a few boats that should have not been able to turn a set that did well. I would suggest a 72" if you did want to try a set.

Such a great feeling to read post like this, especially with all of the great competition that we have. Thanks for the review, I hope we can continue this pattern with some other new products that we are currently engineering.

Re: CM gearbox guys, what are you spinning your NGR's?

We try to give people an idea of where to set their props and for the most part, everyone sets them by running the engine static, at wide open throttle, so we have made it simple enough to know that if you set up your engine and the rpm falls within the range, then it should perform well. I you want...
