IF the bottom IS straight and true this is the means of making that correction.

Re: Rear heavy? Porpoising / hopping
I would raise the motor at least up to level, redo the slick bottom with it heavy toward the rear. A tiny bit makes a huge difference, you can always sand some off if it starts plowing.Be careful with the motor lower in the rear, I tried that once and had the ass end spin out while crossing another ...

The back of the motor should be higher not lower.

Re: switching from magnetos to electronic ignition?
IMO.....when this kind of thing happens.....sell your mags and wires put a pacemaker ignition on it and never look back x2, I had the same thing happen but could still get the bearing to work. I have a pacemaker now and love it. It appears to have better throttle response and cranks instantly. I wi...

Re: Indian River County
That rain would not of helped much if it was that dry out there last week. I would imagine the East marsh is probably starting to get pretty dry but there still should be some running over there. Be careful not to get wedged in some of the tight trails with that type of hull up here. Most of the the...

Re: locking down prop
A/C motors with allot of experience will very slowly turn when towed down the road, while providing continuing reliable service for a long time. I don't really hurt anything that I have aver heard of. Prop turn 180 maybe every 10min or so. They aint like twirling going down the highway. If using a ...

Re: seal behind flywheel came out
If it won't stay I would get a solid unsplit seal , remove the spring, boil the seal in water, stretch it over the crank flange, put the spring back in and glue the seal to the case with weather strip adhesive . Make sure you let the adhesive cure completely .

Re: Recovery methods for a sunk boat
If the sunk boat has a good solid bow eye and it is an open hull you can usually pull a submerged boat and it will stay upright and come to the top of the water. Pull it up into any grass, saw grass ,cat tails or shallow water with another boat and bail it out. If your to far from any shallow water I...

Re: am i wrong? NOT an AC vs. Carboat question.
My 540 would not be happy if asked it to do all you want. I hate to admit this sounds like a job for a geared carmotor to me. Maybe a gso0480 or a gso0540 could do what you require but I am not sure.
