why do you want them foam filled?
Helps the boat float when you sink😊 Seriously though, you do need a pro to foam fill them, overfill and the rudders will look like a poison pup.

Say what you must about ceramic coating but..... I had my black Chevrolet 2500 done 3 months ago, have never had to wash it. The rain does it for me. Pretty good stuff.

Are diesels still available in a Colorado? If so, it's a large enough truck to tow unless your name is Dorthy and you live in Kansas.

Re: Boat turns up but no push now

Have you checked both magnetos to be certain they both are firing? @ 1,000 rpm turn one off at a time and see if you only drop about 100 rims per mag off. Get a mechanical tach to be sure of performance. This is your first post in 9 years? Been waiting for a good question!! Hopefully others will chi...

Re: Airboat Safety Course members needed

Thanks for the link, I see the course is mainly for captains operating with passengers for hire. That will help with the safety issue. I've been at it for close to 40 years, sunk 2 different boats, slid into a tree ( oak tree you're in my way), and still improving. Nowadays, it is more dangerous tha...

Re: Airboat Safety Course members needed

$1,000.00 ?? You might be hard pressed to find 7 others on SA, maybe post on Facebook or something of the sort. Does taking this course help with insurance or is it required for a captains license? Can't imagine what they can teach you taking 3 days? A lot of learning is from seat time. I do hope yo...

Frog gigging, take the gig with frog stuck on it, place frog in pipe, pull back, leaving frog in chute, stick another, repeat. Never slow down or need to touch frogs till cleaning time.

Re: WaterThunder is building the new FORD Godzilla motor

40 years ago a friend, Dirk Fisher (RIP) was on his way to lake Cypress landing off canoe creek. Broke the U-Joint in his truck about 5 miles from landing, ran a heavy string from carb on AC motor to drivers window of truck. Started boat motor and used propelsion of motor to push boat, trailer and t...

Re: Purpose of cutdown hulls

If you are referring to the transom, you can build engine stand lower without the prop being "in the boat". This makes the boat have a lower center of gravity, hence more stable, safer.

Thanks to Jurnigan engines

I was need of a 90 degree tach reverser for my super charged Lycoming. Called around, after checking my old standbys, tried Jurnigan yesterday afternoon. They were very pleasant and helpful, had what I needed. Shipped out yesterday, came to my door in less than 24 hrs. Good folks to do business with...

Re: Sunk Airboat

Which Continental motor is it? If it's true aircraft, then it should be worth rebuilding. Yes, it will very likely have sand, mud in the case. It will need to be tore down, cleaned and put back together. For a real aircraft mechanic to do it, $2,000.00 seems reasonable, but if it's a shade tree that...

Re: Gso 480 newbie questions

Welcome, how many quarts of oil does sump hold, have a good oil cooler, it it in a good position, clean? The supercharged motors have tremendous power but high head temps will kill it, burn pistons. I don't run for miles dry with mine in summer heat. I put a nitrous plate under my 750 carb, fuel only...

Yes, it can be alarming if not used to it. When you really stretch them out you run completely out of steering. Only want to try it in wide, open places. But after you do it a number of times it can be quite an adrenaline rush.
