I wonder how long it would take to straighten out the Government when the people start charging them and convicting them with Treason?

Re: Wysong Dam Airboat Crossing

As of Wednesday 3-11-09 The Brogden bridge slide is officially open. That is the last of the three slides. And yes the angle is 11 degrees down the south side and 10 degrees down the north side. VERY STEEP USE CAUTION. At the bottom of the ramp on the south side the water is only about 6" which...

Re: Wysong Dam Airboat Crossing

Mudpuppy, Thanks for putting this up. I talked about SWFWMD's plans at the FAA meeting at loughmans but didn't put it on the web because I was waiting to see if they were fersure. We have been working with SWFWMD for years to get these slides put in. The Wysong dam is first then on to moccasin sloug...

Re: cleaning a prop

I have been using Orange cleaner made by Zep. You can buy it at Home Depot. It dissolves plant and bug crud real well and won't etch or discolor your rudders. Been using it for 8 years and the rudders still look good. Either paste or liquid wax will work, just make sure it blocks UV rays. I prefer l...

Re: Lake Hernando ride Sun 9-14 Change

Bigun, Just to let everyone know, as of Monday night, the water is running out of the marsh (Potts) at the BS hill into the canal but is still great riding. There is a lot of both wet and dry running. Monday evening we saw 3 deer, lots of gator and two big pigs with about 10 little piglets. I tried ...

Tony, The second one will work as good as the penn one. Sears also has a good one. Just make sure it is a digital not a floating bubble type or swinging pendulum type, with accuracy to .1degree. Those orange pendulum angle finders a HD are notorius for being a full degree off from one blade to the o...

MKNOX, For the Continental 290 hp I would recommend either the 72"3 blade or the 2blade 74" Water Walker Signature series. The blades that Water Walker are producing since January of 2007 are of a stronger, lighter carbon fiber which make them about 20% lighter and 3 times stronger than be...

Yes that magazine was there but they came late and the "part of the team" that lives up there came, drove through the parking lot and left. He didn't even put his boat in. Then the camera crew came about 10pm to steal the show. Marsh Rider Magazine, The official magazine of the Florida Air...

Boblee, There is but it goes thru private property and 1 spot of it is involved in a fight with SWFWMD over a leaking berm. So don't try that one. BUT, if you have a real powerful boat and can get up the side of the outfall canal at the water control structure then just go up, around , and back down...

Just a reminder that FWC will be there (they are actually helping us with extended hours). So make sure all safety items are on board along with registration etc.
It's gonna be a good nite for giging.

Yea, I would bring a garbage can for the boat. That's also how we are going to "handle" the weigh in by putting them in trash cans and weighing them. Then they will get put in a dumpster with the help from a front end loader and on Sunday Sumter County will haul them to the landfill. Anyon...

Yes Rusty, any kind of boat can enter. Every body needs to "poke it with a stick" every once in a while. We want to kill as many as possible to help get this lake back to a sport fishery again. Also, Talapia will be allowed in the total weight and then if you want to keep yours then that's...

The curfew IS 11pm. FWC is going to be there and they have told us we can go later (they actually said 1am but we are being cautious and considerate). Lake Pan used to host a gar gig every year and that stopped about 5 years ago. Now there are WAY too many gar and muddfish that are killing the good ...

But one thing can happen is the Econ can be designated as a "Scenic Waterway" and no boats over 25 hp would be allowed. Just like they did to the Wekiva river. It then would be a paddlers river which is what the paddlers have been trying to do for 40 years.

snielson, What the prop probably is is a staggered warp drive. Spaced 2-2-2. With a good GPU and a light hull, you CAN run a 6 blade at about 70". We have guys here in Citrus County doing it all the time. Set the pitch at 7.5 degrees first blade and 8.5 degrees second blade. Start there and the...
