Re: Camo Wraps for Airboat - Vinyl Graphics Kit

I have only had mine on the boat since October but its holding up great and still looks good .. yes I have scratched it and ripped it a couple places, but the nice thing about it you can’t tell.
The stuff is very tough if you ask me. So yes…. So far so good….

Re: Guys look at this picture setup help!

I haven’t posted on this thread in a while. but since my last post I have blown up my zz4 350 (June 10) while the zz4 was getting machined and rebuilt I bought a motor off of craigslist which was supposed to be a well built 383 …….motor was shot….. It wasn’t even a 383. I got screwed…. but taught me...

Re: 454, 350 swap

Your high cruise is due to your heavy boat and a prop that likes tip speed more than low end push by changing to an engine with less power and more weight and still using the same prop & gear ratio combination you will make your problem worse. As of now you would be better of to get a better lo...

Re: 454, 350 swap

Well I would think the 454 I have would produce 300 hp the way it sets now. What would push my boat better a 400 hp sbc which I have or a 300 hp bbc which is a guess but To me it seems like the bbc with more displacement would hold its own. My boat went on a diet over the summer and it lost around 5...

Re: 454, 350 swap

I think it would be a good choice on a hull this size (17') the weight difference is right around 100 pounds between sbc/bbc the extra low rpm torque would be a welcome addition as well. opinions will definately vary on this subject, heres a recent thread that may answer some of your questions/conc...

454, 350 swap

Motor questions. I have a new rebuilt zz4 350 with a few mods that is pretty strong in my opinion. The 350 is on a heavy 17’ diamond back with grass rake. The boat runs great but, when I pitch my prop to give me the best ground push that I am happy with…. My cruise rpms go to shit…. to high (deep wa...

Re: 383 Stroker

Thanks filetnrelease. The weekend before last I did something I should not have done to my motor and ended up breaking my crank on my zz4. It’s not broke bad just inside the flywheel. The block looks ok, just got into a bearing a bit. Anyhoo I bought a 383 from a local guy this past Saturday and put...

Re: 383 Stroker

that block was made from 86/94.there were some changes in 96 but i still think they should bolt up .piston to vavle won't be an issue if ther flat tops need to check water passages useing a headgasket. and pushrods one from each motor that should tell ya what you need to know or a good start ...

383 Stroker

Guy I have been thinking of up grading from a zz4 355 to a 383 stroker. Well this weekend I bought a 383 out of a truck and have a couple questions. the block # is 14093638 and head are 3998993 which are iron 76cc. The heads have had some work done. The question I have is would I gain some hp if I p...

Re: Early teal on the coast?

We do a cast and blast every year. We hunt the prairie on the opener than head down to RP for a 3 day fish. We have never see enough teal to hunt that area so we leave the guns home. A group here and there but that’s about it. When I was younger I used to shoot limits of teal not to far from Smith p...
