Re: LOOKING FOR A WATER CHECK IN THE MICCOSUKEE RES

Was not specifically in the Res, but was in 3A South over the weekend. Went as far north as the tower (swimming hole) and there was plenty of water. Did not bump ideling in and out of the canal.

Re: I'm Building 2 Stossel Boats with High Torque Motors

While you had her apart, you should have put some air ride on that thing! I'm running a similar boat, and put air ride on a couple years ago. I didn't go full on like Dave Simpsons boats, but replaced the front hard connection points with adjustable air shocks and it takes that sharp jarring out of ...

Lone Wolf is great, but overpriced. Muddy is also good.

Re: Riding in Citrus Co

Hi Lariat There are 3 pools out in Citrus county.... the Hernando pool.... the Inverness pool... and the Floral city pool ..... it would bea lot to see it all in one trip. All 3 connect for an Airboat via Airboat jumps.... Hernando has a ramp just off Highway 200/ 41 split .. Behind the Ace Hardwar...

Riding in Citrus Co

I was just up in the area for the first time this past weekend. I did not have my boat, but have heard for years about the riding up there. After seeing it, I'd love to go up there and ride sometime. Where would be a good place to put in and get started. Also a suggestion on where to stay. Thanks in...

Re: Best prop for heavy boat 540 lycoming

I don't think you would want the h for a heavy boat. I would suggest an NGQ or something wider than an h in a 3 blade configuration.

Re: Arbuckle Creek

I live near there and love the Arbuckle. It is definetly one of the prettiest places you'll ever ride. You need to go before the water gets too high. It is pretty "hairy" at times when she gets to flowing hard. The RR is plenty high to get under.

Re: Heat Extractor

I have one on my SV 540. I don't have a cyl head temp gauge, so I really don't know how much it's doing, but I do run a lot of dry and it makes me feel a little better about it.

Orange Lake

My son has a youth bass tournament on Orange lake this weekend. I've never even seen this lake, so was wondering if any of you guys had any info….areas to stay away from, or areas that might hold some fish. Thanks in advance for any help.
BTW....feel free to private message me.

Re: Lucas oil additive raising oil temp?

For what it's worth, I've been running Lucas in my 540 for the last 4 or 5 oil changes and have not noticed one bit of temp increase. I run it at the recommended rate also, which I believe is 1:4 ratio.

Re: slick bottom vs polly

I would suggest you start out with slick. See how long it lasts you and how you like it. When you wear it off, decide then if you want to stay with it or go poly. If you ever wanted to try it, now would be the perfect time.
