Re: Your rights as an airboater
you have to be off water by 7pm that doesn't seem right to me. These people will move next to a gun range and want to shut it down even though the range has been there since the 60s. Good luck to yall. Better get your voice heard.

Re: borrow a carb
Deano thanks for the referral, I will give him a call. Jeep, Engine freshly rebuilt and brand new carb. Headers are glowing once I hit the 3000 RPM range. Everything has been checked more than a dozen times and have gotten the usual suggestions. Holley has tested carb and says it works great. People...

borrow a carb
Anybody have a 600-750 Holley Double Pumper laying around that I can run on my engine? Need to try a different carb on engine to prove I have a carb issue or not. I will pay shipping and rent for the carb. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Fuel Pressure
So I ended up buying a Holley fuel pump to get more gph to fix the fuel pressure problem and received it Tuesday night. I installed it yesterday with the hose fitting snug and of course they leaked. Long story short I tightened the fittings 3 or 4 times trying to get them to stop dripping and the ho...

Re: Fuel Pressure
The lift pump is a 3/8 fitting precision pump. I bypassed the lift pump and went straight to the mechanical pump and had the same results.

Re: Fuel Pressure
Sent email to Holley and this is what they said:
That is normal. When at WOT its using fuel so quickly, that it doesn’t build up a lot of pressure. If the car still runs well at WOT, then I’d say that you don’t have anything to worry about.

Re: Fuel Pressure
3/8" fuel line, got 350 HP forget what the torque was but it was up there. Once I get past 3200RPM the fuel pressure starts to fall from 6PSI to 4PSI and around 4000rpm wide open on the trailer it drops to 2PSI. Yesterday I bypassed the electric pump, put new filter on, checked pick up tube, checked...

Fuel Pressure
I have a sbc 383 with mechanical fuel pump. The fuel pressure at idle bounces between 6-8PSI, when wide open it goes down a little below 2PSI. Is this normal? Or do I need to look for a problem?

Re: Please chime in airboat people
Getting the upper pulley back in is not that bad, it is getting the upper pulley flush is the big deal. At least it was for me. Just had to have patience and once you get the lip to fit it falls right in. Don't know how much heavier the CR is but don't try shortcuts it will just add more time in the...
