Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

Crack the AN fitting at the HP pump and turn low pressure pump on to make sure you force all air between reg and HP puml out. A drop on the LP side that quick is air or bad pump... Is the LP pump in tank? Or external. Are you sucking through water separator. Another thing to watch is cavitation of t...

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

#1... air in the high pressure rail. There should be a needle valve on it to get the air out. #2... the vac port will spit fuel before it sucks air... leave it open or capped doesn't matter #3... return should be submerged dip tube just like supply or foam will quick cross the tank and enter suction...

Well done man. I've been not paying much attention to SA. Let me know if you need anything. Mark built you a nice hull I see. I'm keeping my 1.4L Ecotec and working on LSA build now.

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

ECM main ground is in the wiring harness not via the case. Usually one pin in X2 and another via X3 going to a single eye to bolt to the block

Injector fouling issues are rare as long as you filter pre pump. You can do it post pump but I only know of one fuel/water separator designed for mid-pressure

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

Very easy to pull the wires out if you have the time and desire just make sure you get a pack of plugs. They connectors are Molex mx123... here is a link to the plugs https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/molex/0345860001/WM7419-ND/3044542 There are lots of YouTube video and Google mx123 manual ...

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

E39, E80, or E92 ECM? There is a clamp style bracket for E80 and E92... the E39 has holes. I've done both unpin and cut seal, but I made sure all the +5v were sealed separately from the low references so you wouldn't have any chance of a false signal (you'll also tune out the CEL codes. You don't ne...

Also available via Amazon at better pricing sometimes 1.75x2.75 reducer http://www.hps-siliconehoses.com/hps-45mm-70mm-reducer-coupler-silicone-hose-black-reinforced-4-ply.html Couplers are quoted as ID, tubing is quoted as OD. Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

be cautious about oversizing... keep your runs short as possible... remember the turbo has to compensate for the volume of the piping and intercooler and lag can be exacerbated by an oversized system.

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

The only twisted pair you have to worry about is the GMLAN white and blue. You are not running FPCM which is the other twisted shielded and shunted pairs. Solder the joints and shrink tube them and move along. The wiring is not complicated at all... try to keep the amount of solder joints minimum......

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

I have no issues with idle using a short ram intake... but K&N filters suck... dry types are much better for MAF

Exhaust. Flange it to the turbo and hard pipe it all the way with a single flex joint close to the motor. Weld it out

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

I use summit to find the parts I need and then Amazon to order them with prime account. usually get a better price, but summit beats jegs by a mile when finding things.

I run CXRacing stuff on my Ecotec. No issue really... cheap but works.

In-tank pressure sensor is for vapor recovery system which you wont have installed. If you read the LTG Crate Motor instructions the inline sensor is included in the harness kit.

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

Don't think the PCM actually cares about low pressure side. It's basically a lift pump for the high pressure pump on these engines. Here's a few pics with a cracker in the back seat. 20190629_153312.jpg 20190705_163612-EFFECTS.jpg Russ, Depends on the tune. Ill have to look back at the LTG...

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

Just make sure the external pump can feed 50-60psi and it will work fine. Youll have to plumb the FP sensor into your system downstream of the regulator as the engine requires a fuel pressure input upstream of the HP pump. Make sure the regulator is located as close to the HP pump as possible so you...

skinny The B207 is an LK9 turbocharged version instead of the supercharged LSJ. You probably can find a good tuner and swap out the P12 (which you likely have) to a E67. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l-lsj-performance-tech-47/want-run-e67-computer-your-lsj-powered-car-its-easy-304426/ ZZP may b...
