Re: Cold Weather Starting ContinentaL 470

Is this a new or old problem? Electric fuel pump or mechanical? Does the fuel filter stay full after shut down? Most of my cold start problems have been fuel related. You can also try cleaning the points.

Re: I need a trim tab

Hard to believe, but Sears sells on their website a Lenco Kit that they advertise as being airboat specific. Most of these kits come with two tabs for bay boats etc,. but the kit in the link is for a single.

Re: 220 break in

How much oil are you burning on a tank? I just did my 220 top end less than 10 hours ago and burned only 1 quart on the first tank. Did you ring it and load the cylinder or the builder?

Might want to use a restriction plate instead of a thermostat. The thermostat might very well be your problem.

Re: 220 rpm

I had a 72x44 narrow on a 220 gpu turning 2600 rpm and it took a bit to get it there. Clearly bought the wrong prop but got on hell of a deal. Sold it and bought a 70x36 narrow and was turning 3050. Gave up and bought a carbon fiber and never looked back. No prop expert as you can tell from my trial...

Re: Help !!! Need to register boat w no title

I researched this a while ago and was told by the tag office if its a hull less than 16 foot that it dost need to be inspected by FWC not sure if things have changed. If you have wood and fiberglass materials you can get a homemade title.at the local tag office. They will assign a BIN and you put it...

Re: DD350 vibration

A vibration is usually external. Check to make sure the motor mounts are tight, both on the motor and the stand. Check the flywheel for cracks or breaks. What is the condition of the rubber on the mounts? If its a "miss" in the motor you may have an internal problem.

This is crazy..... Not only is your boat not safe and your out of pocket money but also your boat has been de-valued not to mention your resale will be next to impossible to anyone that knows what they are looking at. I would love for someone from the dealer to chime in. Good luck and don't settle f...

Re: 1.6 or 1.7 ratio

When you talk to the expert tech. ask about running a different ratio on your intake and your exhaust. I know you’re building a big block, but the last small block that I built I ran a smaller ratio 1.5 on the intake and 1.6 on the exhaust. This gave more lift on the exhaust side and the theory was ...
