Down the road I'm planning on building the motor up to about 500hp and I'd like to use the same ratio...

Go to p&m welding and buy a welder for $1499 and learn how to weld and fabricate and you'll be saving $. Or have someone do it for really cheap and see how it turns out. I couldn't see how it cost so much $ myself until I did my first one ! Oh and get a set of $500 torches while your there and s...

Re: RIde 3a on Monday after the Broward SHow Poll

Yea true you can pack some boats in there and hopefully if you all go southwest to the cypress you can go west of south of bergerons cause it's getting really dry there. Plenty of water from 41 to the cypress.

Re: FYI: Boat ramp to close at 40 Mile Bend for repairs

I rode there today from the Hilton area and plenty of water. The ramp is blocked by rope and a fwc truck was there with nobody doing any work. There was an airboat tour truck and trailer there in the water right next to the ramp so I think possibly people could launch there if fwc isn't working Monday

One thing that I am so glad to see is this... We had an educated discussion, with several different points of view and opinions... As we all know, normally this leads to Rick or Whitebear locking the forum and a bunch of vacations from SA !! LOL.. Thanks everyone for the great discussion, views, co...

Re: Seat belts on airboats... Why not??

Yea I definately agree that a belt isn't the best option . I'm definately not wearing one in deep water. But maby some higher rails on the sides of the seat that go foreword and a (hunt bar) to stop from flying foreword . I've been thrown off and landed in muddy water luckily but it doesn't always h...

I think the hunt bars guys use definately would help from getting thrown off for sure. Maby some bruised ribs but better than a header into your grass rake or a tree hahA

Re: Seat belts on airboats... Why not??

Yea I definately agree that you don't want to be under a boat in the mud or water or your up shit$ creek w no paddle. And I definately am not putting a belt on any time soon. I do know that people get very badly hurt when thrown from a boat. I have been thrown a few times and luckily I just landed i...

Re: Seat belts on airboats... Why not??

My thought has always been that I don't want to get trapped under the boat when it flips. But I may be wrong that the majority of injuries are from ejection not boats flipping?? Boats do flip and I have seen it personally but I have seen more people fly off at low speed impact and get hurt bad

Seat belts on airboats... Why not??

Ok this is just some thoughts I've have after looking into a bunch of recent accidents on airboats. I may be wrong but most people that get injured on airboats get ejected and torn up when they hit their rake, other boat, ground and some have even broken their necks. I haven't personally seen many ac...

Re: Airboat collides with FWC airboat in glades

No the boat in the pic turned right and the fwc turned left . I was there after and talked to all. Yea if fwc would have turned right it would have been better but she had a big head of dry tall grass and I don't know I guess she just reacted to go left. Sucks . And not to defend fwc ( both good fri...

The boat is my friends and his girlfriend who I work with was taken to the hospital she is fine just a bit banged up when thrown off the boat . I went out to float the boat and push it in. Trail had a few blind spots like a lot of them out there. Both drivers saw eachother coming and both turned to ...

Re: 3a North Poker Run 1/17/15 - JESUP ACCIDENT FUNDRAISER

DD when you put in at the first ramp on the north past the alley head north you will pass a two story camp about 10min ride. Once you pass that camp keep north on the trail and about a mile you will see a trail heading west and that trail will take you to bange camp. If anything we are the first cam...
