I still would never buy a truck with one in it though.

A/C engines converted to run on diesel.
This company is converting 4 and 6 cylinder aircraft engines to run on diesel and fly in a Cessna 182. I emailed them
to see if they want to put one in an airboat for trial purposes. They claim much better fuel economy.

Carmotorbarge no she is not. The truck got 11.7 mpg pulling the boat at 73 mph. You can't argue with me on that because I'm the one the put the fuel in the truck. It's funny how you are telling me what my truck gets per gallon when you are not even it the truck. It shows 100% your are wrong. I ain'...

I heard somebody say that private gun sales are no longer legal in Florida. All must go through a licensed dealer. Anybody read the
whole bill to see what was added that they aren't telling us?

Outlaw guns? No way. Outlaw all the shoot em up video games? ABSOLUTELY! These are not for young, impressionable minds!
And while you are at, outlaw all the race car video games that lead many young people to drive real cars like complete idiots!

But you NEVER hear these people that want gun co...

Re: Ummm Yep WATCH THE NEWS
Like you, I don't like getting screwed out of my hard earned money. I know hindsight is 20/20, but what you could have done was go to a place like Floral City Airboats. (and no, I don't work there, know them or ever bought a boat from them). Their website shows they have 45 new airboats in stock and...

Re: Ummm Yep WATCH THE NEWS
Well, I can see why it cost the man $22.5K for the pile of parts out in front of your shop. With your reputation, there isn't a hull or motor or trailer builder anywhere that would let you place an order without being paid in full up front. Now considering that, the customer must have a hull, motor,...

Florida antique boat registration
Nothing new here, but this may save some of you some $$$. Per FL dmv form #87243. Section 328.72(2)(a), Florida Statutes, provides for antique vessels to be exempt from the annual base registration fee. Upon receipt of this certification form, which must be completed by the owner or a licensed marin...

Re: TURBINE AIRBOAT
Stuart, can you post some video links of this customer's boat in action?
What is the smallest boat you could put a turbine on, and what price range are you looking at?
If the boat got submerged, would the turbine be rebuildable?
thanks!

How to register a boat with no paper?
Not an airboat, but found a runabout that was made and imported from Sweden. 1980's vintage. Little to no use. Garage kept. Looks new. The boat is from an estate and has no paperwork, registration or title. Probably not Coast Guard certified, and is 15' long. Would it be possible to get a Florida re...

Re: am i wrong? NOT an AC vs. Carboat question.
For a diehard fisherman, don't forget about the added weight of a trolling motor(s) and batteries. You wouldn't be happy without them.
