Bolt them to an A/C engine and you'll have no need to clean them.

If you feel that's was getting technical...okay. If you or the state of florida consider a 4 foot alligator an adult, than there management practices make a little more sense....they are from confused folks.

Night light surveys are done every year. Not sure who told you otherwise. I personally know some of the people that do the night counts. They may need to have there staff checked for competency, because I'm quite concerned they don't have the ability to count, record data, or any other cognitive fu...

Re: Tuning Holley 500 for rebuilt gpu 220
I don't see where an aircraft engine has any less of a requirement for an enrichment circuit than any other engine. Furthermore if it fails, you simply have power enrichment circuit delivering fuel all the time, which as i understand it is always safe. To jet a carburetor rich enough that it doesn't...

Why wouldn't you want to run a power enrichment circuit?John Fenner wrote:74# jets and a power valve block off plug is my choice, be sure the float balance spring is installed, I like to preload them a bit more than stock, 100LL has less specific gravity than car gas, will tend to flood without the spring installed

Re: Suggestions on 0470 R
I would say 6k for a truly airworthy overhaul on a 470 is a very very good deal. Unfortunately, I'm almost certain that's not what you are looking at. There is a lot of variability in value of aircraft engines, and a lot of that is in certification (paper work).

Vote out Scott, That's what ya'll were suggesting, sure it was.
I'm all for that! Gonna be kind of hard though as he's on his second term.
An Appointment That I'm sure you had no part in.

Re: Gator hunting small boat adding floatation foam in hull?
What you need to do is tie 5 or 6 helium balloons to your bow hook. That should give you the added front end buoyancy you're looking for. Wouldn't hurt to couple that with a hole bunch of closed cell floatation foam. I'm talking like 1000 pounds worth. Then that rig of yours will float like a cork! ...

Update. A friend came by and said he has the same motor but single mag. We took the low cyl off and one ring was broke in half and one of the valve seats was halfway out and hit the piston. Broken ring gouged the cyl wall making it wall art. Piston is .015 over. Couldnt get one rocker out as it loo...

Take a look at these AV exhaust systems. Talk about nice! And they're supposed to be tuned and make more power…on dyno and testimonies. http://www.wemakeyoufly.com/cessna-aircraft-exhaust-systems/cessna-180-182-and-185-exhaust-system/ Neither one of that companies published power numbers hold water...

Re: hp and torque
Your torque almost certainly peaks somewhere between 3500 and 4000 rpm. There is a slow decline in torque from 3500-4000 to between 5000 and 5500 with typical small blocks. Then at 5000-5500 the torque falls out exponentially. Along this exponential decay is where maximum horsepower is achieved. Hor...

X2 on 1/4hp/lb I have estimated my aluminum 0-540 at .29hp/lb and it will run most dry at 2100-2200rpm. Moist grass at 1700 and it will run for miles bone dry without ever flooring it. And even if I do, I have a pedal stop that keeps it If I load it down (700 lb) and approach .19hp/lb it will still...

Re: 220 gpu prop going quiet.
Looks like a short hub to me, which makes a whole lot more sense than your ground power spinning a 72 inch sig pitched like that. I still find it hard to believe you need that much pitch with a 10:1 ground power and a 70 inch sig. But put a medium hub on it and pitch it like that and it'll choke you...

That is copied straight from the fwc web site. The 62 for two tags is what you pay if you already have the trappers license , i.e. additional tags.

Re: Gator tags
Regardless of the phase you received your tag, the first one cost the standard 280 bucks, all subsequent tags purchased by the same hunter cost 62 bucks. If you win multiple tags in phase three, only the first one will cost 280, the remaining tags will cost 62.
