The filter housing bypasses internally. Therefore you will not see bubbles. If you want to test before making purchase you can take a piece of 1/2 inch u shaped tubing and connect hoses that go into and out of housing. It bypasses housing. I am a GM tech. Been working on duramax for 7 years. It needs a fuel filter housing. The housing bypasses causing fuel to go to return side. Also fuel filter life resets to zero. Usually this only happens under heavy load. I’ve seen it numerous times. You can bypass fuel filter and test it. I bet my...

Well being as though there is no lash adjustment, it probably means the cam is starting to munch a lobe. Had me one of those h2ad's. I have an 0320 h2ad I was having problems running lean took a long time to figure out after replacing fuel lines ,pumps hoses,ect Come to find out the glass fuel filter I had was sucking air through the seals replaced filter and boat runs like brand new
