Conduit is so thin its accually harder to weld than ss . You can lay into the ss more just more expensive and have to run a mix gas . I bent my hoops using my old cage for a jig works out good . I like being able to run different places with out burning slick off in one trip to the wrong place with it . For piece of mind on a go anywhere ride boat with less out your pocket every few rides . I'd do poly and be done with it .

350 out of what . I'd put a intake 500 Holley hei dist. With curve kit . Prop adapter and let it eat . If your gonna re cam it I'd go ahead and build a 383 . This is if your dd.

I'd look for a good used hull and redo it . I just built my first boat new stringers new slick bottom built new cage for it and redid the rigging. It was a fun build and I learned a lot doing it . Nothing to it but to do it . Lots of good advice and people on this site . Nothing like learning to do ...

Thanks for the info John I'll def. put on my wish list . Be using a 500 for now tho . Price wise they do think a lot about them 390 4v . Thought I had heard something about filing down the the lever on those 4vs for the back to barrels a little so they only open when you mash it to the floor ???? No...
