Re: Lookin For Miccosukee Res, and 3A South Froggin info

Scotty 1 I was out to my camp on Monday after the Broward show and there was plenty of water. My camp is just north of the pipeline 5 marker at the end of the that large strand. M8552 the liars den camp. We ran from the the large rest area on the alley.

Gmac. I need the assembly. Not sure about the degree lag. This Magnito was a shower of sparks. My friend is putting pins it it and is trying to find the impulse.

Re: Talk to me About Sea Deck

A good friend of mine has sea deck. He is very meticulous about his boat keeps it completely covered and spotless. He doesn't run it much and already there are several abrasions on it. I have a camp in Micco land and hauling things in and out would be pretty rough on it. I'm also in the process of b...

Re: Miccosukee res, water or not

I rode to camp in Indian land from the ally and had water all the way. Our camp is just north of the pipe line near marker 5. There was enough water but it was tight getting into the camp. We rode across country on the way back and found quite a bit of dry ground. We came in on the west trail east t...

Camp 85-52 liars den.We were very fortunate our camp was in good shape a small water leak above the shower and that's it! Saw that the camps close to the levee had some roof damage. The trails were already cleared by the time we arrived. Thanks to the folks that cleared them. It looks like it will b...

Re: MICCOSUKEE RES, MEMBERS

Scotty your correct I looked at my notes and it opens at 10 am on Friday and is going to be closed at 2pm on Sun. Oct 1. Good luck to all and be careful on those blind turns. It will be a little crowded. We all are going to be a little rusty after our long expulsion from our woods!

Thanks for the info John.I will check the impulse pins and on the Norman clay starters I'm looking at their headers also. I just finished bending the runners for the new hull but the storm has put everything on hold. Thanks again!

Re: O540 10:1 piston or leave it stock?

Lnicker1 thanks for your post. The motor I have is a fresh rebuild with 8.5-1 in it now. I talked to Jurnegan and he advised me that I could use the rings that are on it since the motor has only been run on the test stand. Scuff them up and I should be fine. I'm excited about having a o540. I starte...

Re: O540 10:1 piston or leave it stock?

Wood line I appreciate your response. 15 years without problems that's good to hear. I've been looking at them on combustion technologies website and can get them for around $124 through Jurnegan in plant city. Ted the starter on this engine is a sky tec. I'm not sure if it's after market or origina...

Re: O540 10:1 piston or leave it stock?

Thanks for the reply diggin. I only run av gas in my o360 and will do the same with the o540. I was thinking the same thing about the extra heat. I was reading on the combustion technologies web site. They said that the engine actually ran cooler with the higher compression that being said. They are...

O540 10:1 piston or leave it stock?

I'm building a new boat and acquired an O540 250 hp. I'm thinking of putting 10:1 pistons in it. What are the pros and cons to doing this. Thanks for any info!

Re: What is best size prop for PE60?

My first boat was a franny with a pe 60. It had dual mags. I turned a 60x28 between 2900-3000 rpm. The boat ran amazing. Some of the guys swore by the 66x26 never had a chance to run one though. Good luck with your boat. Keeping it light is the key!

Cowboy those gigs head are really nice. I had broken my gig pole while frogging and lost the head. I started looking on the web for a new one and decided to make my own but just can't justify spending that much on a gig head. I'm to cheap I guess. Made one out of 1/2 conduit and number 7 mustads. Re: 150 burning fuel

I had a 0320 on a 10 foot Taylor hull when I ran the boat over 2000 rpm I burned around 10 gallons a hour. I own a 0360 on a 11 foot sled now and it burns less fuel when cruising the same speed as the 150 boat. The rpm is around 1500 - 1600. The 0320 works harder to cruise the same speed. I was swin...

Re: Area 2A fishing etc

I was frogging Friday night in area 2 and was amazed how dry it was getting. I'm not sure what the game commission is doing and why the water is still above average in area 3 but I'm afraid the water will be gone by the time they open it. I would like to get to camp before the water drops and have t...
