Re: Some Incredible Vintage Everglades Footage

That's a good one CaneFan.

I remember some boats with the half cage up here on the St. Johns when I was a kid. Kinda scary looking back at that now...especially the girl in the back seat lol.

Dang, I hate to hear that. Paul helped my dad get our first airboat 50 years ago. Not sure why that would happen.

I'll be working on some required updates to the site in the next week or so and will look into the app setup too.

Re: St Johns river riding

Loughman Lake Lodge is closed for now. The new owner has future plans that does include airboats, I don't know anything about the time frame though. The river's getting a little low to come out of Loughman Lake into the St. Johns river without a pretty major hill run right now..we need rain around h...

Thanks for that pic. I have a grandson that will be looking for a boat fairly soon and I keep telling him about how important it is to learn how to id the motor yourself regardless of what's being said about it. Rick Even if it did have a Nameplate, it would be on the oil pan and hard to believe aft...

Re: Name this Motor.... No Nameplate

Found the old post below from 2010. Can someone vefify if that's the correct cylinder length difference between an O-320 & O-360. If true that measurement would save a lot of headaches because I've seen quite a few people that were told they were getting a SV O-360 180hp when it turned out to be...

Re: Thoughts on 4 cylinder boats

My old flip phone didn't have gps back then lol, but I'd guess mid 40's or so in deep water. A lot faster in skinny water. I never really worried about top end much as long as I could do a little hill running. Old video of my angle valve 170: https://youtu.be/UqB-8oORPXs Old video of my H model 160:...

Re: Thoughts on 4 cylinder boats

I've had a couple of O-320's (angle valve 170 & H2AD 160). As stated above, keep'em light. Mine were on a 12' Hamant w/(2) single seats and ran everywhere my 6 cyl. a/c & carmotor buddies ran their's in a normal day of riding. I keep saying my next boat's gonna be a straight valve 180 built ...

Yep, Justin's another one that always has high reviews. Haven't seen him on SA in awhile, but his username is JT540. Here's a link to PM JT540.

Where's he located. I was thinking Apopka, but not positive about that.

Glad to hear you still have the same setup.

My old runout's at 11 yrs. and counting. Still has that same F.I. setup you hooked up on it back then. Runs rich, but strong.
