Thanks, I wasn't sure because there are two numbers posted on SA and the other websites.

This thread will help people that search for his number in the future.

Re: Mike Felber

Confession from an aircraft guy... I ran a Caddy off the crank for a few years in the mid 90's. It was amazing what it would do speed wise & running the hill on a 12.5' boat w/double back seat. Mostly ran with my (2) brotherinlaws (396 belt drive & 8 cyl. gtso Continental). I couldn't race w...

Just for the SA record, this forum isn't Scotty's (Whitebear's) sandbox; It's for everybody that posts here. Threads like this usually do bring out strong opinions and insulting comments. Comments don't have to follow the liberal way and be one sided...just civil enough to keep everybody involved ou...

Wasn't there a thread on here about hazardous objects where you could post coordinates? Duece Yes, there was a "Navigational Hazard" forum created under the "Airboat Safety" forum. It's still there, but has never really seen much activity: https://southernairboat.com/phpBB3/view...

Oh I have seen more stray barbed wire out there than ever before.

How about stating where you've seen the "stray barbed wire" before somebody gets killed.

Re: Lycoming Motor id

My first boat was an angle valve 170 (o-320 with o-480 jugs). It swung an Air-Props 66x38 stick prop. Can't remember the exact rpms, but 3,000 was always our goal when we ordered a new prop back then and it ran good. Somebody may correct me on this, but if you've got the o-435 jugs, I've heard they'...

Thanks, I marked them as "Sold" and they will be automatically deleted within a few days. Maybe limit ad to run for 2 weeks at a time, if not sold then refresh ad??? :!: I agree that 12 weeks seems a little too long. Not sure where that number came from...must have been the default for the...

Re: Lycoming Motor id

Here's a "Lycoming Cylinder Identification" thread that was posted a few years ago that might help: viewtopic.php?t=58986

I have seen more than one instance where a Lycoming 4 cylinder was not what it was thought to be.

Re: Lycoming Motor id

I put those pictures in your original post.

I think if they were O-480 cylinders, they'd have the "narrow deck" type nut holding them on at the case.

What size prop is that and what's it turn WOT?

Re: Lycoming Motor id

I'm no expert and it's been a long time since I ran a 4 cyl. Lycoming. The 160 (which is an O-320) and O-480 jugs are a match. ⋅ The O-320 is a 4 cyl.; 320 c.i. divided by 4 = 80 c.i. per cylinder. ⋅ The O-480 is a 6 cyl; 480 c.i. divided by 6 = 80 c.i. per cylinder. ...same bore...

kwanjangnihm's right about the poster needing to mark their ads as "Sold", or contact me to do it for them. Otherwise the ads stay up for the duration which is 12 weeks, if I remember right. If you send me links to the already sold ads, I'll try to contact the posters & have them remov...
