Re: Porpoising boat... but why come?
How the bottom? Take a string or long straight edge and check the bottom for any hooks. If it’s straight it’s more than likely engine angle or weight distribution. If bottom is straight, and the cranks level with stringers, adjust rear of engine an 1/8 at a time and see if you find a sweet spot Or m...

Look around Swamp, they have already begun banning parts, and supplies. eBay don’t sell ANY ar parts now when weeks ago you could still get lower parts kits and barrels. Shits about to get stupid and if people don’t grow a set and stand up we’re all going to suffer.

Re: Rigging Time
Almost all shops will bend you hoops. You can supply the DOM if the shop doesn’t carry it. If you don’t have a jig or a buddy with one call a few shops and ask. I know gto, DB and others have pre bent hoops in stock and or will bend to specs if you need a different width, material, wall thickness etc.

Re: Porpoising boat... but why come?
Could be numerous things causing it or a combination of. There’s pages and pages of information on the topic on this forum on just about every style of hull/set up. Properly tuned hull will not need a trim tab. I’d hit the search block and read up your answer is in there.

I’ve never had an issues out of mine either, however if I was to buy a new power plant it would not be a GM crate motor with hypereutectic pistons and powder metal rods, for the same price he can get a purpose built all forged motor with a warranty, something levitator doesn’t offer they only cover ...

Re: Levitator
I have one FWIW the levitator isn’t anything more than a GM crate engine with PCM/Levitator electronics, powder coated with a overweight engine cover and a pretty sticker. Don’t get me wrong it’s a work horse and they run damn good however I don’t like that it’s nothing more than a GM crate engine, ...

Re: Fiberglass hardline boat will not run dry help!!
A bit more information to work with would be helpful. What engine? What prop? Direct drive or box if so what ratio? What rpm? Is this issue new? What size hull? Is your crank parallel with stringers? Does the boat plow or porpoise in deep water? Many variables come into play and the more information...

What is your desired outcome? What are you wanting out of the airboat? Want more hp? Trying to run the hill? Power plants on airboats IMO are very specific to the application which you plan to utilize it. My boat for example is a 16x8 Diamondback 2:1 belt drive, 6.0L pcm/levitator. It’s not uncommon...

Re: Got a SS welding question...
He didn’t ask which gas to use for stainless or say he was GTAW anything. Rick stated given this equipment and these two gases which should he use. Out of the two stated gases and his Pro Mig 135 the C25 is the best choice. Obviously if he was going to TIg it 100% argon is the right choice. Had ever...

Outstanding job Smokster! I left Citrus County Airboat Alliance because they would rather vote to donate money to help a member’s granddaughter start a modeling career, rather than use the club funds to fight things like this. This is exactly why we have the clubs not for popularity or a status. May...

Re: Got a SS welding question...
The 100% Argon will not weld good. If it was me and those two were my choices I’d use the 75/25, it will rust but not much and not like carbon steel but the CO2 introduces impurities should be no problems as it’s not a structural piece from what I gather. With CO2 run your machine 3-5% higher

They built me a tandem axle for my 16x8. Excellent quality. Only complaint I have is I’ve split the board on my front stop three times now. So I’m thinking of getting a 1” rubber pad to bolt there.

Per the owners manual that’s the preferred WOT maximum RPM. The optimal RPM range at WOT is 4800- 5600, 5200 being preferred by PCM/Levitator. Without a prop it’s max rpm is governed @6000.

Nebraska- Sensenich states 2300 max rpm for the S optimum rpm is 1800-2100 for best over all performance. 2300 with your 2.5 box puts engine rpm at 5750.

I run a PCM 6.0L, published Hp is 375, ch3 2:1 spinning a 80” 3 blade sensenich K series. Blades 12” wide and ain’t got much pitch them runs well but struggles sometimes. Not seeing how you would twist it with your set up with any pitch at all especially within the blades preferred rpm range.

Re: Stock 6.0ls
Stock, is a fool’s errand. The LS platform isn’t able to sustain the thrust pressure from prop force. You are going to destroy your 6.0L especially if this is a engine you are planning to run later with a gear box. Dave (Waterthunder) had a DD LS some years back he had to develop a proprietary thrus...
