Yea he's has a awesome setup for the gso. Nothing welded just pressed on with a Keyway. And made out of billet aluminum with a starter & alt bracket. Not sure the cost on it.

Re: Supercharger boost pressure

All of the ones I've ever seen was 14 to 15 psi at 3400 rpm on a gso. I drove Farmboy's boat a couple months ago and his was laying a 20psi gauge in the corner. I don't know if his gauge is broke and he didn't have a tach so I don't know at what rpm.

I'm sure someone will say there's a big difference but I'd be willing to bet there ain't that much. No one is ever honest about that stuff

Oops, sounds like the drivers were having more fun than the passengers. Oh and the alligator infested waters they almost went into. What, one our two alligator attacks a year in Florida while 40,000 Americans killed by cars each year. I'll take my chances in the marsh any day with those odds. LOL y...

Congrats to the DM crew! Now maybe this will help end the endless bad mouthing about DM. I wouldn't say that... Things got out of hand on FB today. Probably will never end... That's exactly why I don't have a Drama Book. I always hear people talking about all of smack talking or drama on there. Don...

Re: Considering GO-480

I will say this Kevin's 480 boat doesn't burn any more than a 540 and the same comparable boat. A few times I've been with him riding the lake and burnt a little less. 5 to 6 gph is probably what the average 540 boat burns. I'd be willing to bet there isn't anyone else with a 480 getting those fuel ...

Re: GSO 480: I'm a newbie and need advice

I'd get with farmboy or tigo541 those 2 have many many hours running those things. I'd sure do a leak down or compression test on it before I'd buy one. I do know when there right they are a powerhouse. I believe the main issue is fuel burn if not setup right.

I always thought a good strong 540 was in the 900lb thrust range. But I've never seen 1 on a tester either so I could be wrong.

Re: boat is in pieces

Like Tony said Farmboy's boat is powder coated and looks awesome! I do know he keeps it clean and keeps it in a inclosed shop so I'm sure that helps with it not fading out. But I've noticed you don't see any scratches in it or dings in it so it must hold up pretty good cause he rides damn near every...

I would PM "FarmBoy" if I where you. He's had to 2 480 boats.
