Re: Question about how to price a airboat for sale

Any were from 8,000 to 12,000 depending on condition and overall looks. And how long you want to have it for sale. Just my estimated opinion.

Re: 0360 180 hp fuel usage

You need to check the model numbers on the side of the carburetor. Mine was burning the same amount of fuel with the same problems as you are describing. Turned out I have been running a 540 carberator on my four cylinder. I still have a ma-4-5 carb body but with smaller internals. Would be the firs...

There is still water on the floral city side. Just don't try to come from the river over. You could ride a bike across there right now it's so dry.

Re: New Hull

I didn't think about that option yet. A 7075 metal would be strong and hold up well. I have an open hull now, do you think it's possible to adapt that rigging to a deck over without starting over?

Re: 220 ground power fuel jets

I noticed that it was running lean last weekend when I pulled the plugs. They didn't have much color to them at all. light brown to almost white, noticed the motor was running hot as well.

Re: 220 ground power fuel jets

Ok, I've got the 74 jets in it but only a 6.5 power valve. I'll pick up a 10.5 and install it this week. It should make a big difference. Thanks

220 ground power fuel jets

I have a single mag 220 ground power. I'm running a Holley 2 barrel carb and the boats seems to be running a little lean. I was wondering if someone could suggest what size jets and power valve work well with these motors. Any advise is much appreciated.

Deckover airboat

Hey there,I'm looking to start putting together a new boat. I was looking to put together a 11ft deck over, Thurman style hull, with standard conduit rigging. Front driver rear passenger powered by a 220 gpu ground power. Looking to spin a 3 blade sensenich prop. I figured that possibly in the futur...

" Are they trying to pass an 0320 off as an 0360. Or are they diff years?" Is there a way to check by measurements whether you are looking at and angle valve 0360 or 0320. What's the best way to identify the case or be able to tell whether there 480 jugs or 540 jugs?

Thanks, I was figuring about three should do it? Where did you have your jacks built? Are you suppose to tune it to get a slight belly in the hull?

12ft aluminum boat/hull jacks

I have a 2003 12ft aluminum hull that rides pretty good. But i noticed that when i was on dry ground that the hull wasn't exactly flat.It was actually far from it.I could see the marks that the boat made across the ground looked like it was on rails. It was only contacting the ground on two points wi...

O360 lycoming spark plug?

It's time to change the spark plugs on my o360. It has 540 angle vavle jugs. What are the best brand of spark plugs to use in this engine. I was told the champion D-16 was good but wanted to get some opinoins on what brands people are using or prefer. thanks

Re: Mechanical oil pressure guage

I bought mine from the local auto parts store but I'm not happy with it. The gauge is fine but the line they give you with it seems cheap. It also seems to crack and kink easily. I don't remember what brand I bought but it would be nice if they sold one with a more heavy duty line.im not sure but th...

Re: how much for a good 0320

That will depend on a lot of different variables. But I would say around 5,000 will get you a pretty good motor. You have to be careful and check the motor out good or have someone look at it. I've seen o320 go from 3,000 to 6,000. Really just depends. Jmo

Re: Dogleg vs cable

If you get a good 3/8 pto cable you will be happy. It should be smother than the dogleg steering. Most any airboat shop will carry them. I would stay away from a teleflex cable because they have to be modified for airboats so if it breaks it's harder to get one.

Re: 0360 three blade

That Excalibur sounds like a well performing prop. I hear nothing but good things from them. What if you took the warp drive blades and set them up like the bow tie configuration but you had a set of thee. Total of six blades, I wonder if that would act like a three blade wide prop but still have the...

Re: 0360 three blade

The whirlwind excalber is set to go on four cylinders, cool I'll have to look into those. Right now I have a 68 in 2 blade water walker and I like it but it would be cool to get the three blades and gain a little more push on the ground. I'm afraid that the NGH would be too much prop.
