Re: Gun purchases

I had a problem with purchasing with my CCW. It always got denied and then near the end of the time limit approved on a conditional. Went that way for years and then one time it went on and I called to check and the lady at FDLE said that she was trying to fix it. She somehow fixed it and I have pur...

Re: Is freezer burn cosidered jerky

Botulinum toxin is the most toxic poison known to man. It is rare. Because we use pressure canners for canning our low acid foods.

But, freezing needs to be done quickly and is supposed to be kept at 0 degrees in the freezer.

Re: To eat from the wild

I rather eat acorns, swamp cabbage, elderberries, black berries, persimmons, guavas or the white pieces at the end of palmetto plant. There is some other plants to make salads from. Acorns are a lot of work, swamp cabbage is a lot of work and saw palmetto is a renewable source. Take the whole termi...

Little man" stepped forward and gave me a hug that I will never forget. He quickly turned and stepped away. As he walked away, his mother wiped the tears from his eyes. Mom and Dad was ecstatic to say the least.
Great story Gerald! I was wondering if you were gonna keep Aggie also.

Re: Buying a rifle at Dicks?

I stopped at the Dick's on southern Blvd back in 2007 I think. It was on my way to STA 1W to do some gator hunting and had to get an agent license for my daughter's boyfriend. The kid at the register couldn't figure out the license. He called the manager of the store over and the manager said that y...

Re: OFFICIAL HERO TRAIL RIDE OCT 26 THREAD!!!

Batch that is and always was the plan. It's difficult to execute perfectly. We are a group of friends. No real event organizers no real system. It's just an overall plan. We can only do with what we have and make the best of it. No one should be at Sawgrass or lyles. Both ramps are separate from to...

Re: OFFICIAL HERO TRAIL RIDE OCT 26 THREAD!!!

Well, if there is anyway I can be of help. I am willing to volunteer my time in anyway. Last year at the Stub the things I saw as problems for me anyway was that I thought I was just taking people to and from the other parking area on the west side of 27. That turned out to not be needed. Then when ...

Re: AR-15?

I have a Rock River and I have built 2 Palmetto State Armory guns. I love shooting the build guns. I did a poor mans trigger job and cut the springs to much and couldn't get a reliable primer strike. So, I upgraded the trigger springs and all three weapons are ridiculous at the range (110 yards) usi...

Re: corn fritter recipe

I don't know the exact recipe. But, I know my mom made them in a cast iron skillet and it was a 1-4 ratio. You know, 1 out of every 4 made it to the dinner table before being eaten. LOL A wooden spoon to the back of the hand is no deterrent.

I have heard that you may know a thing or two about frogging, Gerald. So, I will definitely take your advice. :thumbleft: Jason, my brother never found anyone to watch his dog. So, unless something changes, I am not going to Big Cypress. Give me a call if you have an empty seat. I picked up a gig on...

Thanks to TheElevatorGuy

TheElevatorGuy and his son took me out giggin frogs last night and I had a blast! I left most of the ones I tried to gig either scared or scarred. But, towards the end of the night I was sticking them a little more regularly. Luckily, TheElevatorGuy was a better aim and put quite a few in the bag. T...

I am looking. I would like to learn a little more about the boats. So, if anyone needs gas and beer money and a rider. Let me know.

I am right here in Coral Springs. So last minute notice isn't much of a problem.

Ron, I think it awesome that you are putting more of these together! Mike, You put together a great event. If you could send me a copy of the map that would be great! I use folding camp tables when we camp. I'll put together a system for each ramp along with banners to guide or service men and women...

I meant to keep a copy and left them in Wayne's boat. i don't have any idea if Wayne even has a screen name on here. If I had any advice from the experience at the dock, it would be the following: Ha...

Re: HEROES 2A TRAIL RIDE OCT 27

I was talking to Newoldglory, Gerald, and I saw a minor threat and watched a man resolve that problem like lightning! In fact he was solving quite a few of the problems. I was real happy to meet him! There was also a lady at camp that had a great command of the whole traffic deal on boats at Old Glo...
