Aluminum cased ammo
Was at Walmart today and came across some reasonably priced aluminum cased 9mms. Any opinions? I have never used them. Also saw some steel cased ones but don't think I want to run those through my glock

Re: A Few Questions
Lots of boats ran reduction units and wood props til better props came along. I think you will have trouble find a fixed pitch wood prop that will work well in DD and on a box. You might find a good deal on a paddle prop that would get you through this season. Oterwise I wouldn't build anything or m...

Re: Combee A/B
GPUS are run on a lot of boats. Main thing is to have cylinders checked with a leak down test. Also test the boat. Not just hear it run but take it out and get it up to operating temperature. Holley 500 2 barrel is a good carb for that engine.

Re: A Few Questions
Direct drive 350 and running dry don't usually go in the same sentence but it can be done. I would not build an engine for DD and wood prop for 2 months of running. I would buy an adjustable carbon fiber prop that can be reused in the new set up. The new setup will require modified engine strand and...

Re: Combee A/B
How big is the boat? 250 continental is not a familiar engine. Maybe a 220 which is what the ground power units are commonly called. Does it have 2 sets of spark plugs per cylinder? Where is the carb located? A good gpu with a warp drive is a fine set up for 3 people is shallow water.

Re: with a broken heart we say goodbye to Florida Cracker
God done called Brewster da Rooster home....only meet him in person a few times but really enjoyed his presence on here and Sawgrass university back in the day. Must be a hog problem in heaven that a Lycoming boat can't get to. Prayers for comfort for those left behind til we all meet again on that ...

That is like trying to pick you out a woman. Throw out some more info...where you will run, water depth, any dry running, how much you gonna haul, etc. Assembled usually cheaper than sum of parts but if you are a good wrench and fabricator you could save some money.

Terrible news to hear especially this time of year. The Cruzs are a bunch of great people who have devoted much of their lives to the the airboat community. There is a big hole in my heart and the airboat world. Prayers for all of the family and friends...just don't have the right words.

Re: Airboat to Bimini Story
The story is out there somewhere. Either in an old airboat world like somebody mentioned on the broward club site. If I remember correctly he and another fellow where trying to see who could do it first. Wayne made all the way over but had the airboat put on the big boat for the trip back home. Stil...

Re: Duck calls
Not sure of the brand cause I got it so long ago but I use a mallard call for the puddlers and a diver call for the divers (ringnecks). The diver call is different and not as loud as the mallard call. Makes more of a vibrating sound that a quack.

Don't really see what is pointless about a video showing a trailer that you can use to load/unload dry but maybe I am not as smart as you two geniuses. Either way you can shove your smiles where the sun don't shine.

Re: shipping out motorbikes
The price differences you are seeing are driven by multiple factors including supply/demand as well as tax rate. Tax rates vary state to state and even county to county. Most vehicle prices do not include sales tax as is it is calculated on the final sale price. I doubt that a dealer in TN has much ...

Re: Airboat or Hovercraft
I am sure you will get replies from those who are much more knowledgeable than I but here is my opinion. I believe with the right boat, 16 to 20 feet and plenty of hp and prop you could traverse the terrain. My concern would be once you stop the boat is going to break through the crust. Getting back...

Re: FIRE & AIRBOATER
4 moons had a small honda pump for the camp that filled holding tank and then to garden hose that helped when fire got close. Mashing the grass and getting it wet before the fire gets there helps alot. As far as pump on the boat would probably work well where you run Sniper, but hard to pick up wate...
