Re: B207R Ecotec 2.0 Turbo, Looking for help with ECM

Swap specialties is the best prices I've seen for the ecotecs I friend just got a harness from them very nice clean harness. They were a little slow but if you aren't in a hurry I'd contact them they have LSJ harness and pcm and they do in house tuning as well. https://swapspecialties.com/product/gm...

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

Swap specialties has stand alone harness for the ecotecs. They seem to be the best prices I've seen. Have a friend that just ordered one. He's a ways out on the build be he said they were easy to work with and they do in house tuning as well.

Re: Ecotec I4 engine identification

I had a buddy that was a mechanic for a few years wire mine. I had a 2013 LHU got all the wiring out of the bone yard. He had it running in no time. But it kept going into limp mode at a certain torque limit. After lots of research and time we find out that 2013 is the only year they used the E39A e...

Re: Ecotec I4 engine identification

GM makes a standalone harness for the LTG I believe jegs and summit sales it and also pace performance. I'm running a 2.0 LHU like Russ but I'm running on a 2010 lnf harness and ecm I got my harness from cbm Motorsports. So far I have a little over 170 hours on it with no issues very happy with the ...

Re: Take out 6.0l with E78 power problems

I'm having the same problem with my 2.0 ecotec with a e39a ecm. We've been at it for over a month. And haven't gotten any where. We are also using hp tuner pro. It goes wide open for a second than pulls the throttle back to 30% I'm getting about same rpm as you I'm around 3,500 rpm. If you figure an...

Does anyone have any connections with anyone that works at a junk yard? I'am having no luck locating anyone that can get me a engine and wiring harness. I can find the motors every where but they all are missing parts. I've been using car part.com and have emailed a dozen people only to have heard b...

This is crazy I work a full time job and built my whole boat in 6 months and that's a riveted 7075 hull and one of my biggest hold ups was coming up with the money. I can't even began to figure out how a company that makes a living off of building boats could take 15 months and still not be finished...

I used to run a spark arrestor to one day the screen was full of crap so I took it off to clean it. When I did I stuck my finger in the throat of the carb it had sand all in it. That was the last day I ran one. Been running a K&N for well over 5 years never had a problem with getting a ticket fo...

Re: Airfilter

Schmidt Airboats has a Adaptor that bolts to the carb and is made to take a K&N type filter. Some people also run the spark arrestors but they don't filter bugs and sand I would go with the K&N

Have you checked to see if all your cylinders are warm I'm just thinking maybe you have a cylinder down. Even at 2700 rpm's the boat should still be moving on dry ground. But I agree with the post above I would take some pitch out and turn it 2900 rpm's

This is what I have used on many different boats works well. And most every airboat shop stocks them. https://m.summitracing.com/parts/hda-1260 Also just something to think about if you find a used one you don't know if it's been on a motor that's wore out and has had metal run through it or if it's...

Any hydraulic shop should be able to make them. Also I believe Napa auto parts can make them but I think they are a little more than most hydraulic shops.

Every boat is different. And every person has a different opinion on how they like there boats to run. Best thing you can do is take your torque wrench Out with you and try different RPMs and see where you like it. I have a 74" NGQ on my 540 I turn it 2900 I've tired it from 2700 all the way to...

Just something to think about a buddy of mine had a problem with a caddy motor couldn't get the oil sending unit to fit down by the intake so he put a pipe extension On well about 3 rides later the pipe broke at the threads and he wiped the motor out. I personally would look into doing it some other...

Is there enough sticking out that you can weld a nut on it? I've had luck doing this before. The heat from welding seems to help free it up.
