Re: Covering poly bolts in glass hull?

Rivet the poly on. Your daughter and wife will be able to walk barefoot in the boat with now worries. Before the bolting on poly got popular most boats had their poly riveted on. Works great.
Good luck

Re: Lost an airboater

I was told from a close friend of Ken's that I work with he took his own life. It's a very sad thing to lose a good friend and fellow airboater. Prayers sent to family and friends .

Re: What is best size prop for PE60?

First off congrats on the first Airboat. My first boat was a 10 ft. Baby gore with a pe60 on it. I had a very small (60 inches or so) 4 blade warp drive and that boat would honestly surprise people where it would go. That motor was only rated at 90 hp new. I would call whirlwind and talk to them abo...

Finally starting (again)

I have recently gotten back a boat I started to build over 3 years ago. After the boat has been through 2 other owners it still has yet to be completed. The hull is a Marty Bray 10'6" ultra light glass hull with conduit rigging. The motor was a Continental 4o84 with a 1.84:1 belt drive. The boat was...

Another company I believe Deano. They have a couple different size molds for hulls and they do some awesome builds down there.

Small step hull

I am looking to have a small step hull built and was wanting some opinions of others of who would be a good person to have build it. I don't have a preference of glass or aluminum but my size specs are pretty important for what I'm wanting to do. I'm looking for a 10'6" or smaller by at least 6' wid...

Re: Crystal river anti airboat sign

I live in Ozello and there's no fight as of now. Dep did put the rock in our air boat crossing by salt River bridge but within 2 days a new trail was made to go around it. Nothing else has been said about it. Also the real fight in Ozello needs to be with kayakers , they to should be required to hav...

Re: four cylinder build

When I built mine I used a 320 case with 180 crank and 320 rods with the 480 angle valve jugs and it ran awesome on my 12 ultra lite with two grown men. Hope that helps.

Well I still haven't decided on what power plant I'm going to use yet. Tonight I'm going to sand and glass the spots that need it and hopefully tomorrow will be paint day. I'll post before and after pictures.

Re: new build about to start

Thank you and yes I have thought about a 0320 but the one in my description is sold. But I'm sure I'll build another small bad a** motor for it. And as for experience I've been on airboats since I was a baby and this isn't the smallest one I've had yet.
