Little wonder the creeks and rivers rise after a heavy rain.
128,918,400,000,000 gallons is a lota water...kinda like watching our national debt clock.

Re: A shout out from Florida ......

To put it in context...I heard our weatherman say we've had enough rain to cover the state of Texas in 8" of water. And that was a couple weeks ago.

Prayers to all those effected, those still searching for the missing, and the volunteers that are helping with cleanup all across the state.

If it's a small boat go with the copperhead. I like my GoDevil, but they have "0" resale...looks like I'll end up giving mine away to move it.

I'm going to have to drive over to see this rig in person...I like it.

Not that it's much help, but there is a Panther dealer in Rockport.

Re: First airboat purchase. What do I need?

There's one in Goliad...15x8, 454 with gearbox, 2 seats up, and bench. Guys asking $15k.

The poly has some wear, and the oil pan is rusting. Solid boat, and I'd be willing to bet the price is not firm.

Headed back to Texas

I'll keep in touch. I believe you delivered a boat to Kingsville...if you think your customer would be up to letting someone look at his boat shoot me a PM. Any Texas customer would do, but I can talk the wife into making a 30 minute-3 hour drive easier than a 24 hour ride to look at a boat. Lol Als...

Axis are free range in Texas now. Just about any deer lease in the Hill Country has Axis, Blackbuck, Whitetail, and hogs these days.

There are also plenty places to hunt free range Aoudad.

Headed back to Texas

these are a few that I have already delivered to Texas. This is what I'm looking for. I need the widest seat you can get for the driver...my butts too wide for a regular seat. Also, I need a more aggressive rake. The wind in S. Texas never stops, and I need a boat that will handle some chop without...

Re: Light Rail builder in Texas?

If you can draw it a welding shop can build it.

Check around Waco, and you may even find a shop that's willing to trade for a bowfishing trip, or an airboat ride.

I had a similar project, and IMO if you're doing this to save money just stop! Hulls are cheap, and you won't be "saving" money by going this route.

Re: learning a new lesson about salt water

Back during duck season I was faced with a same situation, and ended up calling the GW to come pick up my passengers...they would rather come do that than drag them off the bottom. That particular stretch of water is always dangerous because there are no protected areas, or calmer waters to cross. A...

You don't want to do the wrap unless you have sponsors, or can afford to replace it every few years.

Also, if you go the paint route make sure they spray it with a clear coat.

Brice @ Charter Lakes is good to work with (281) 452-7800

I believe I pay $600/yr for $15k in coverage, but there are some extras included with that cost.

Re: I need y'all's opinions please

My small boat was a 13x7, and the DD350 pushed it pretty good. If you keep it in the water you'll be ok, but don't plan on running much dry. Also, if you plan on running with 3 people + gear be careful...I had serious issues planing with a heavy load in deep water. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
