Just got back on Southern Airboat and saw this old post. Still holds true. I work at a different place now but all still the same.

Re: Minimum size boat for gator hunting
I started with a 12 foot round sided boat and it worked well for a lot of years until I got a 13 foot big O. I used the 13 footer for a few years but now I run a 15 foot Diamondback just because I like the room. I reckon it all depends on what kind of running you need to do.

I heard it was the use of automotive pedal in a boat. Diamondback sells a pedal that is suppose to fix the problem.

I agree. I get people all the time asking about airboat accidents and would like to be able to stop rumors before they get out of hand. He said she said can hurt our hobby, sport and means of living.

Well normally there is a report filed. That will contain all the info everyone is asking for. Even times will be on that report. I reckon we will have to wait for that report.

Re: Kayaker on Lake O gets run over by airboat TWICE!!!!!
Kayaks are a great concern in my line of work but not the most dangerous. I can normally get away from a kayak but then again I rarely go over 20 mph and only do so in open water.

I kill all I can. I also found a commercial market for them. You wont get rich selling them but you can pay f...
