Re: Carb question?
My experience has been just the opposite the Edelbrock Thunder AVS series work great for me and I would recommend them. If your near Brooksville give Buddy Branch a call he has all the jets and parts to dial it in. They just started making a 650 annular booster that is awesome for the direct drive ...

Carb question?
I have a 13'6 alumitech with a 454 dd on it. I use it primarily for gigging and riding. With the boat idling around if anyone moves from one side to the other or another person moves forward my idle jumps up 3 to 4 hundred rpms. I am thinking something to do with float level due but I am not an carb...

Re: bbc aluminum heads?
ok thanks for the info, may just stick with what I've got being it performs good the way it is. I found some oval port aluminum heads with 290 and 300 cc intake runners but I'm not sure what stock peanut port setup is.

bbc aluminum heads?
looking at looking some weight off my bbc setup and me going on a diet ain't the answer! finally got boat riding the way I want and handling great just that she's a little hefty in the rear with the big block. I'm trying to figure out what the best aluminum head would be for a stock 454 with no mods...

Starting point on pitch
Switching out props and I waited to late to call Whirlwind today. I have a 74 inch stump puller on my stock BBC direct drive. I could only put 6 degrees in it and get about 2950 out of it. Pushes boat ok but has been loud cause it is set too flat. I just got a 70 in super snapper back that I had let...

I have a fused left wrist and a bad left elbow and was hoping right hand steer would be easier to drive than my last one.

Re: The New Wife
All together and took it for a 30 minute ride this afternoon. Gonna make a few small adjustments and take it out again tomorrow. Got painterchic working on wraps for my rudders so I should be all finished by the end of the month. The whole project that took longer than I had hoped, but I can say I h...

Re: carb\fuel pump question
Finally found the problem. My new fuel hose apparently was full of dirt dobbers from Napa. Had meal worms in fuel water separator as well as after it . Carb fuel inlets were severely stopped as well. New needle and seats and some line flushing and it is up and running . Still have some prop tweaking...

I don't believe you can buy a new one anymore. I haven't seen any for sale used ever. Good luck.

carb\fuel pump question
Im trying to adjust and tune my motor so I can take it for a test drive tomorrow. I found that when I rev the motor up to 2400 rpm it starts falling off after a few seconds. I have an air tech in line pump mounted at bottom of the tank. Is this enough of a pump for a stock 454 with a rv cam and a Ho...

Re: The New Wife
Wasn't planning on stainless at first , but I plan on running it direct drive for long enough to buy a belt or gear. Figure I'll build the engine stand for it out of stainless . Guess I'm just being cheap !
