Re: 250 lb alligator gar

I love to eat alligator gar, they are not a trash fish as everyone says. The seminole indians preferred gar meat and made arrow heads from their scales. There are alot of ways to cook them and if you have no tools you can cook it right when you catch it and pull the meat out (I never tried this way ...

What is the aluminum rail/trim called on fiberglass hull.

The metal trim that is riveted to the top edge of a fiberglass hull, does anyone know what it is called and or where to buy it? I have heard it called gunwale, Tee and just plain old boat trim, But I cant seem to find any. Iam located in central fla. Thanks in advance.

Re: 180 lycoming

Dont run it until you have oil pressure... guess its too late for that. I would take the spark plugs out of the cylinders and turn it over by the starter to get a prime, if you still dont get oil pressure try a different oil pressure guage and line they go bad, if not still time to investigate the o...

Re: 0540 or supercharged gearnose 480

Perfect... If you want a powerhouse and dont mind more fuel consumption that comes with the extra power go GSO480 If you are ok with less power but better fuel efficiency go with a 540 Sounds like its talked out to me, but who am I to say I like a good ole o-360, but if I did go six cyl I would spen...

If I had a story like that I would probably brag to, In all reality that information about bragging should not have even been reported because it is hearsay from an intoxicated subject and at the very least third party, and simply is not fact. I dont think the bragging had any part of the reason for...

The 0-300 is a 6 cylinder. Are you referring to 0-300 or 0-200 100hp 4 cyl. Either way I would go with the 0-290 125 lycoming.

Re: 100 miles from truck and the starter goes out...now what

Also if it is an AC and doesnt like to crank on the first throw of the prop, preload the cylinders by turning the prop backwards a couple times before, I love to hand prop small 4 cylinder aircrafts, not too sure about the larger high compression motors (480/470/540/520 etc), and be very careful if ...

Re: How do u stagger a warpdrive

I think many people thought you had a turbo hub/stacked 6 blade hub, it lets the air from the front set of blades push over the second set, instead of each blade biting into the same velocity air. Now that I read your post and the issue you are having- sounds like you have a flat 6 blade hub with fo...

Re: stomped on my warp drive need some help

Not sure if they have different generations of blades, but I ran a 6 blade 60" turbo prop on my 170 with 2.5 degrees and 5 degrees pitch. The man at warp drive advised me before I bought the prop and said it was fine (due to the small diameter), and it pushed great. Grant it a 5 blade would have bee...

They did this in Lake Jesup until 2008 (with class A sludge) on the city of sanford leased property behind my house, when finally sanford was pressured by the EPA (a legality on dumping near water drainages and bodies of water) and they had to spend millions on the new Syngas system (burning and sel...
