Re: 556hp LSA vs. 600hp 418 Water Thunder
The BS is just spewing out of this guy....Jeeze bring that bitch to a sand bar and let the water come out from under it, then we will load 9 on it and see where it goes, or even 4 LOL. You must be fishing out of the river (wacasassa) with your rig, I know exactly where my boat goes when I do that, ...

Re: Best 4cyc ultralite alum all weld hull opinions or thoug
A riveted hull built correctly with aircraft aluminum, zinc chromate under and between all mating surfaces plus gluing will survive the salt life a long time. Thank you John....My question was not loaded nor intended to promote a pissing contest, I just wanted an answer....Lots and Lots of welded b...

Re: Best 4cyc ultralite alum all weld hull opinions or thoug
I have always wanted a riveted open hull for fishing? I run a lot of saltwater, how would a riveted hull hold up? Well I don't know jack snot about a riveted boat nor do I own a welded boat, I was just reading through this and found where OEG asked the question that has yet to be answered...I've to...

Re: Polymer or Stainless steel (Oyster Bars)
Your just gonna flat out hit oysters and rocks...replacing poly is gonna be a a constant thing....I do know of one glass boat (kenedy hull) that had a stainless sheet on the bottom of it...it was heavy, but it lasted...I have considered doing it on my boat to be perfectly honest...Some folks can ref...

Re: Blowing radiators
I use some hi temp silicone on mine....Just weld a piece of angle at the top and bottom roughly a 1/4 inch bigger than the radiator then set a small woooden spacer just to hold it in place then fill the top of the angle with silicone and set it in place....once you have it secure then add some silic...

Re: The used LS3 option.....
If I am thinking correctly, you need only have two new motor mounts built for the front of the motor....If the wiring has you worried then go buy the intake and the msd box for around 630 or so and then run a carb on it....that is plug and play....then all you have to worry about is plumbing, which ...

now after all the bashing to GLADESBYPADDLE, I have got to say in my opinion the dumbest thing right behind the kayak thing is jumping out of an airplaine. if it goes wrong it goes wrong fast and with a bad ending. but to each his own. you only live once, go for it. Re: Kayaking in area 2?
This is a sentence from a PM that came from the kayaker: "And the reason i dont have a boat any longer (mid 70's stossel w/0-540) was due to a motorcycle accident that took my knees, and havent been able to afford to have one since nor do i have a place to store one." So it sounds to me that this g...

Re: Can`t Run Dry .....is it a lightweight ? or a Heavyweigh
Its very simple and Ill put it order. Bottom, weight and a prop that will push at 3000 rpms. Think Bubba nailed it for you hasbeen. I would also agree 100% and I would also add that you might consider starting at dead level with the engine and then raise the back UP 1 washer at a time til you hit t...

Re: Poly Thickness
Diamondback is doing the work for me. I went with the 3/8. The extra weight is only going to affect me when fully loaded. Interesting thing is that the specific gravity of UHMW is .94, which means it will actually add a slight amount of buoyancy. Still have to accelerate it though. Sent from my SPH...

It just depends on how you run the boat...I think mine is 3/8 and I have had it a little over a year, and you can sling a cat thru it in the back...so it really depends on your riding...

For me, 15 X 8 High sided...Similar to what bigun said....I Would want something that is VERY durable that had some shape to it...If you could do that and keep the weight down and make it somewhat comparable in price then you would be on to something..jmo
