Re: GPU carb rebuild

I have a GPU with a holly carb. It is not hard to rebuild after a couple youtube videos, but you are going to have to completely rebuild it. Actually that is something you should become proficient with airboating in the middle of nowhere. Yes you could buy a new one and it will probably work MUCH be...

Lacy Everett x 2! He rebuilt my entire motor and it’s tight and leak free with great compression. Nice people too.

Re: Warp drive pitch with a 454. Please help.

Well.. I have a 6 blade turbo warp 70" on my deckover and right now I have about 12 degrees on front set and 17 degrees on the rear set.. People will tell you all sorts of things about pitch but you gotta just play with it. I like a 4-5 degree separation in the front and rear blade sets. (These numb...

Re: Seat belts on airboats... Why not??

Seat belts for the drunk people... Lol. Honestly it's a risky hobby with the chances of injury or death during a crash or collision a coin toss 50/50. I don't believe 100% in statistical information because ultimately statistics are just numbers. Problems and injuries are situational. I know this is...

Re: Airboat collides with FWC airboat in glades

I tend to avoid putting in at the Miami canal. I have had stuff stolen and it can be a mad house. The trail is bad and dangerous to say the least. Not enough room to pass an oncoming airboat even at an idle. A riding buddy of mine likes to put in there and talked me into it last month. After we pas...

Re: Airboat collides with FWC airboat in glades

Oh and to add onto that.. The next time I am run off the trail returning to the ramp at 35 by an airboater (novice or experienced) leaving the boat ramp.. You better hope I can't catch you. Shut your POS boat off, use your ears and listen for incoming airboats. They make plenty of noise. I've been a...

Re: Warp drive turbo prop question

I ran about 7 yrs. with a 5 blade warp 80 in, it suited me OK, but I didn't like the noise, so I went to a 6 blade turbo it seems to be quieter and a lower pitch noise. Now for push, to me that subjective, if you run long enough you can stick any of them. The only way to know which pushes more is t...

Re: Ramp at 3B

Don't get too far from the ramp there and watch for headlights. They love to steal things there. Nice and dark and concealed by the levee. Sounds like a recipe for disaster. We've been going there for two generations and have experienced burglary. Also met a few good people with similar stories out ...

Warp drive turbo prop question

Does anybody have any experience with a warp turbo prop setup vs a standard warp drive. For example a 3x2 turbo prop vs a standard 5 blade? Curious how this may help or hurt. Low end push, snap and top speed? Does the turbo make a difference or is it all hype? Thanks

Honestly most of this comes down to personal preference and how flashy you wanna look when you pull out your stat pack and GI Box.. There's been some good ideas written and I'll just add my personal, (professional) take on the matter.. But hey it's just my 2cents. I am a paramedic and my partner was...
