Re: Airboat Hull jet boat?

Love to see some pics or any do's and don'ts. I wonder if I jacked the hull and rounded it if that would help with the slide

Re: Airboat Hull jet boat?

I saw a small airboat Hull couple years back, maybe 10'6" with a jet motor glassed in the bottom and had two single seats built on rigging couple feet high. Does anybody have any pics or info on it?

Airboat Hull jet boat?

If anyone has pics, videos, or any advice for building a jetski powered hull please share. I moved to North Florida and want to build one to run shallow rivers in summer up here. I remember seeing one a few years ago on SA that a guy built and that's what give me the idea. Sent from my E6810 using S...

MAG HELP

Not sure what its called on a Bendix mag but I need the contact/spring for non impulse mag. It's similar to the rotor button on a HEI ignition. Can anyone tell me if I can get just this part or does it come as part of the large gear assembly and where I can get this part. Impulse mag says S4LN-20, c...

Switch to Warp Drive?

I'm running a O320 160hp on a 10-6 Gilieo with a 66'' H blade Sensenich. Boat pushes great, runs dry good. I have never tried a warp drive and was curious as to what diameter and how many blades should I run to have the best low end and mid range push but still have some snap to it. If anyone has in...

Re: Engine mounting?

I was looking at some other boats and think i'll build some kind of adjustable rear mount. Not sure whether to use rod with jam nut type or maybe an adjustable bracket kinda like a jack plate on outboard setup. I saw a photo somewhere one time of someone who integrated a tilt/trim style hydraulic se...

Engine mounting?

Should I build my stand with the engine running truly horizontal to the hull? I seen where some people have tilted the front of the engine down, maybe to push the nose up more? Also like the link on the prop below the transom question, lots of good info.

Thanks for the input guys. Would like to have 4cyl AC if I can find one at decent price. I'm wondering if the weight of a V6 or V8 is worth it in the long run.

Is a SBC DD to heavy for a 12x7 cottonmouth?

Hi just became a member. Just got a used hull, poly is good, need to find someone to refinish hull or attempt myself (I'm a metalman not a fiberglass guru). already have a single/single stand and cage that will work but no engine stand. So I'm looking for powerplant ideas, do run some deep canals so...
