Re: Hunting Kissimmee chain of lakes
I was raised right and I still respect everyone, even more for hunters and airboaters. x2 was heading for a turkey sit one morning and this mudboat beat me to the spot - found a different spot :salute: mudder.jpg You sir, these days, are a rarity. I hunted OK slough one time and was at the parking ...

Levitator 6.2 LSA help
Anyone know anything about the levitator 6.2 LSA supercharger on an airboat? I've got radiator fluid coming out of the overflow tank cap but boat isn't registering its hot (about 160 which is normal operating temp). Boat is about 14 months old with less than 50 hours. I'm thinking cap failure since ...

Yeah, I want to go up that way. Been down there for years, but never been to that part of the rez.

Re: Levitator
I have one, but only have about 40 hrs on it. I can tell you this, I had the Chevy crate motor everyone dogs and never had an ounce of trouble out of mine. It's got over 400 hrs on it and still going strong. I like my Levitator, plenty of power to push around my 14x8 barge. Diamondback is who built ...

Re: Lets talk about harmonics
I'm no expert but this conversation is definitely the elephant in the room in terms of airboat discussions. I just had my old man put his wood prop back on his boat b/c a composite one was shaking every bolt loose on his new boat. He had just replaced an old (94') Combee hull with a new Gileo and th...

Re: How much power to use superwide blades?
I had a 350 SBC ZZ4 (355 hp) w/2.68 Stinger on my last boat that ran a 2 blade 78" super wide setup that pushed extremely hard on the ground. It was set at the 2 mark. The main issue was cruising with them. It seemed like you really had to stay in the pedal to cruise and the faster you spun it ...

Re: LOOKING FOR A WATER CHECK IN THE MICCOSUKEE RES
Any word on water levels in the rez? Gauges in 3A have been looking good but no gauges in rez so I'm not sure how the water's holding in there from the rains we had last week and weekend. Planning a father's day weekend trip to camp. Anyone going this weekend please give a report!

Re: AIRBOAT RETRACTABLE BIMINI TOP
Well I'm back on this. I never did it with my old boat but I think I'm going to give it a try with the new one. That last post with the picture is a good looking setup however it doesn't look like it could go back against the cage. Looks like it would interfere with the flag. I have a flag and vhf r...

Got one yesterday that said if you're just riding it's fine, but if you're hauling any weight, it'll be rough. Sounds pretty skinny, but I like it like that.

Kissimmee Lodging
We go turkey hunting in Kissimmee with our families every spring and stay at an AirBnb at Camp Mack. Well, we drug our feet this year on getting our place and someone has it the only weekend we can go. I've never stayed anywhere else but this house, so I'm not real familiar with some other lodging o...

Re: GPS
I'd like to just use my cellphone or a tablet. I'm having trouble with where to mount mine though where I can see it. Thought of doing a large chart plotter but being that my boat is front driver, it's not really feasible. MotionX is for IPhone, anyone know of any good nav apps for Android?

Airboat Docking Solutions
Hey guys, I've got a place where I cannot pull up on the hill to keep the boat (too rocky). I keep the boat at a dock, but docking an airboat sucks and a dock beats the crap out of the cage and the sides of the boat, especially in rough weather. I've seen a couple of boats around me that are using s...

How do you guys, especially ones that run the salt water, eliminate exhaust system corrosion. I have 2 month old headers, flex pipe and mufflers that are already starting to show corrosion. Any tips? I wash boat after every use and wash it with Salt Terminator after every use in salt water. Am I mis...

I don't see enough marsh worth running in the areas you're describing on Google Earth. Anyone ever rode this area? It's only about an hour from me but I'm always interested in new places to ride.
