Re: Alpha Fab/DynaMarine Cadillac LF3 Twin Turbo - 14' REVO

Damn your still trying to push these. How'd that race motor yall built work out? Didn't it blow up on the trailer Push what? Super productive post. Are you asking if it blew up or telling me? Are those allegations based on any facts? If it blew up I think I'd be the first to know. As far as I know ...

Re: Alpha Fab/DynaMarine Cadillac LF3 Twin Turbo - 14' REVO

I wanted to let folks know the months of R&D are over - we are proud to say that we have the FIRST LF3 twin turbo running, boosting, and making power in a stand-alone configuration. Over 500+ HP with stock turbos. Here is a sneak peek - sorry for the sound - apparently blew my speakers on the dyno! ...

Alpha Fab - 2.4L & 2.5L Ecotec Direct Injection

Hey Folks, Thought we'd share our newest offering - the 2.4 Direct Injection LAF/LEA and 2.5L LCV/LKW. Super solid motor[s] from the R&D we've done. On 93 pump gas we're seeing solid 220-230+ HP numbers on our calibration. Great investment for the money. Solid power and torque. Great little water mo...

Re: Alpha Fab/DynaMarine Cadillac LF3 Twin Turbo - 14' REVO

Thanks Shaun, you and Shane are going in the right direction. Their is no reason not to use this engine to power airboats. If it was not bullet proof, you would not find it in the new Cadillac's. This engine will make a lot of V8's take a back seat. I can't wait to see it running and maybe Shane wo...

Re: Alpha Fab/DynaMarine Cadillac LF3 Twin Turbo - 14' REVO

Anyone established in the airboat community knows that Chuck from AIrboat Pro's is the EcoTec and LF3 brainchild. Shizt a lot of people thought he was crazy fooling with the 1.4T from the Cruze but they can bring it! That said, and knowing how helpful Chuck is, my bet he would be glad to offer up i...

Re: Alpha Fab/DynaMarine Cadillac LF3 Twin Turbo - 14' REVO

What's the cost of this motor turn key? Now you are using factory turbo and not adding sounds like less shop work/cost. But the motor cost more obviously. GM offers them new as crate engines for $8200 plus $2500 core [but good luck finding core]. But those prices will go down as they get older and ...

Probably....figured it wouldn't be long before someone stole his idea. Please inform me on how anyone is stealing anyone's idea? Like CBM stealing TKE ideas, or Danzio stealing Redline's ideas? That doesn't make any sense. We've been developing this idea and platform for the latter part of FY14. I'...

Hey Chuck - definitely not us! I've seen 4 come through here with the Bosch E69 and a Trifecta tune, so someone did or was using them. We changed them over to E39 and stand-alone harness, like you use, IIRC.

Re: New build 2.0 turbo

I am all for people being competitive and promoting their products. That said, what Alpha Fab just posted is very one sided and not indicative of typical LNF/LHU performance in my opinion. Since I don't have a business built around airboats or engines, etc, I won't provide "proof" here. My advice i...

Re: New build 2.0 turbo

The problem you'll run into with the 4B or 4G [don't get me wrong they are great], like Terry mentioned, will be electronics. It's one thing to run an engine in a car - it's an entirely different thing to run one in stand-alone form. This is the primary reason you don't see a lot of these engine pla...

That would not save me any money. I would have to pay you to do my job which is the wiring and setup plus pay shipping too. Hey Chuck,

Send it to me and we'll finish the harness/ECM combo for you on the engine dyno. That will save you $ and time from having to deal with Vince. Then you can pass that savings to your customer. Just a thought.

It is all about the cost of the engine, weight, hsp, torque, longevity and fuel burn, cool numbers but throw in my 780 hp LS7 supercharged motor with a weight of 486 lbs you get 1.6 but give up 100lbs and bucket load of $$$$$$$$ and it is not going to run all day on 7 gals fuel but my DB new build ...

Re: How are the Eco Techs holding up

Better check again...525 horse LS straight from gm for $7100... That's a good price on a bare engine. I'm looking at pricing here: https://chevroletperformanceparts.com/p/19329009-ls3525hp-drag-race-engine-w-muscle-car-oil-pan Oh, by the way, the actual wheel numbers on that exact engine is about 3...
