Re: Mike Felber

Its in poor taste to slam someone who isn't here to defend themself. Long ago Mike stopped building motors for Airboaters. Be that as it may I stand behind my statement and would be more than happy to voice it in his presence. I'm thinkin there is probably a reason he long ago quit building airboat...

Re: inline 6 or 350?????

I have a friend with a 300 Ford on a glass boat that is 14 or 15 feet and while it won't run dry it gets around just fine and above all is anvil tough. He leaves that thing parked outside in the field and she is ready to rock every time. My pampered hotrod seems to tear up in its shelter though lol.

Re: Mike Felber

pffffttt. This is like I told my childhood friend that got a 40 month DOC sentence on a charge that was a pretty weak case: just think of all the stuff you beat prior to this. Same with Mike Felber. I had my dealings with him and let's just say I wouldn't let him build a motor for my kid's cart let ...

Re: GTO Fishing Tournament

It's a good tourney that used to have a ton of cheating but they got ahead of that. The only critique I have is of the way the tourney starts. Just let everyone go fishing, keeping people idling around waiting on their number is unnecessary and a pain. Other than that it's a good deal and can make f...

Re: Gearbox talk

I was surprised to see someone had a Felber motor that was still alive. Not that it does not apply but having trouble finding a link between FELBER and Gearbox Talk from a year ago? I'm surprised daily at other airboaters and drivers but has nothing to do with Felber and less with a gearbox talk! P...

Re: Passed Gun Bill

This is a horrendous piece of legislation. Law is all about precedent. So now we have a precedent that come October 1st an accessory that was lawfully purchased and sales tax paid will be a felony to posses. This is a slippery slope that will end in every firearm being illegal. A worse law would be...

Bad things can happen quickly even to the most experienced operator. Actually it's about guaranteed that some interesting events will occur as you gain said experience.

Good to see help was present and everyone was ok

Re: Thrust testing for Sensenich today!

Sensenich is about as fine a company as there is. I've dealt with them on repairs twice and they were a testament to good business practices both times. Not to mention their props are top shelf to begin with.

Just had to toss that out there.

I love how they are sure to include "Caucasian" as a descriptor. Lol 2000 blacks descend on a mall in Louisville and it's "teens" or "youths". As it is everytime. The one time some piece of crap, that is white, victimized someone and by God they are sure to include that...

Re: 11-09-2014 Cedar Key Reds.

There are no fish, not even hardheads, anywhere from the barge canal to the suwannee. These reports are greatly exaggerated and one's attention would better be directed towards Brevard or even Monroe county. Also not to hijack but Dave at Powerhouse can build a motor. He did me up a 396 sbc that has...

Re: Adams Arms

Piston guns are super but the old direct impingement design is plenty good enough for 99% of the situations anyone is likely to encounter. That being said an H&K 416 in 6.5 Grendel would be the best combo for probably the next 30 years for military applications.

Re: AR-15 build

I am very meh on the 300aac. The ballistics are underwhelming to say the least. Now the 6.5 grendel. That is the optimum cartridge for the ar15 platform imo. Very surprised it hasn't caught on. Highly recommend Midwest industries low profile 15" hand guards w/ flip up iron sights and a vortex s...

can't get gun control done legislatively? no prob. brainwash and indoctrinate the upcoming generations, and presto you have gun control. while i may enroll my son in a public school we will be keeping a very close eye on both his curriculum and progress and will not be above pulling him out and home...

Step son has a custom eclipse 10mm and it is a pos. Sent it back to the factory and not only does it still not run reliably the factory marred the finish. You couldn't pay me to own that over priced piece of crap. Now if you want a super 1911 for a song Taurus' PT-1911 is every bit as good as any 20...

10 dollars per 20, while not bad these days, is still double what it was a scant time ago.

OT= original topic.

Olf, so it's a 'Star Bellied Sneeches' kinda thing then? Cool.

To the OT, it is doubtful prices ever come down due to the inevitable inflation around the corner. In time ammo will be a more stable currency than the fiat dollar.
