Re: Found gun, Big Cypress
The lack of firearms knowledge displayed in this thread is odd. Given that most are active sportsmen. There is nothing to do but what the OP has done. He jumped on a couple message boards to get the word out and is standing by for a response. Yes I noticed how old the thread is. There is no..trackin...

Re: common sense and coutesy
I was not there and OP's rant lacks info and context.. Let's look at the other possibilities when these issues come up. People sometimes place themselves and their boats in a place that leaves little to zero room for others to maneuver around or past them, without the other operator being forced int...

Re: Flags for everyone ?
The flag requirement should not be "vessel specific". It should be "area specific". Anywhere vegetation restricts vision, EVERYONE needs a flag. This is a no brainier. This is going to cost a life (if it hasn't already) unless it becomes law. This is not an airboat thing. If any 2 vessels collide a...

Re: Lake Okeechobee Burn
Got checked at the Moorehaven ramp by FWC 3 weeks ago..well not really checked. More like looked over. He heard us running in an area known for stumps and wondered if we had trouble. Anyhow BS,n with the officer he said they had a helicopter coming to shoot homemade napalm on several areas that were...

Not even I believe that and I am a cynical bstrd... Do you have any idea of the crap storm that would follow if Management knowingly hired non licensed Captains. I am not buying it. They would already be shut down and Insurance Company would have already pulled coverage. Well how about this...........

Re: 21 injured in SW Dade airboat crash
It's hard to tell from the video but the starboard vessel does not have the right of way due to being the starboard vessel. In the video it looks as though the starboard vessel is overtaking the other vessel which means he yields the right of way. It's all about the true angle and speed which from ...

Re: 21 injured in SW Dade airboat crash
Vessel to Starboard has the right of way. I see no special circumstances. Both boats are in sight of each other with plenty of room to maneuver as long as it is done in a timely fashion. Vessel to Port should have slowed down and or turned to Starboard as soon as he realized another vessel was cross...

Re: 21 injured in SW Dade airboat crash
Have to wait and see where the Coast Guard goes with it but... Before the left hand vessel turned...Vessel to Starboard has right of way. Two power driven vessels meeting @ near 90 degree angle. Vessel on left of video @ Fault for not giving way. Vessel on left does not slow down and changes course ...

I find this disturbing. Obviously something was said...hence the original post. I publicly call out you cowardly scumbags that opened your mouths in a manner to instill fear of retaliation. Re: No luck buying ammo today
....? I see your in West Palm. I was in Gander on Friday. I saw every kind of ammo you could think of.
I did not specifically look for steel but I did notice that there were no large sections missing ammo. They had 9mm, .40S&W, .45, a table with cases of shotgun target ammo. Curious.

Re: Ammunition
Looks like that may be the state of things for a while. I just read on another forum that one of the online ammo dealers that apparently got a shipment in....sold 200/1000round cases in 3 hours and now are out again. Many other very large suppliers are flat out of almost everything including rim fir...

REC90-aircraft motor
Ok guys. I tried the search thingy. Did not find what I really wanted. Most of the answers i found related to ground power conversions. So the question is: what true aircraft engine would you you pick for a regular fuel conversion to REC90 and is it worth it. I bring this up because friends with gro...

Re: BUSTED !! Poachers go Down
You can not use feeding people as an excuse. Agree or not with current take and limits. It is about managing the resources for all, not just you. If we allow uncontroled take and limits the the ecosystem will crash. Most of the scum bag poachers at this level also do not pay any taxes thus placing a...

Nice 11'5 opening week out of Moorehaven. Drove to Lake Placid to drop off to processor there. Only one I heard of at the lake was reps for American....supposedly somewhere close. After much discussion and several negative reviews from others...we drove an hour up and back to drop off in Lake Placid...

o540 prop help..?
Thanks in advance: Heres the issue. Older boat was built and set up with wood prop. If changing to composite prop do we need to think about flex in the blades...I will guess much more on a warp drive than say a Q or more stout 2-3 blade. The issue is...distance between prop and rudder and or prop ti...

My BS meter is going in the red. Had cat expert from out west bascialy state that no such thing as pure breed Florida Panther alive anywhere on the planet.
