220/047 conversion

thinking about doing a 0470 conversion to my dual mag 220 and want to know besides cylinders, intake and carburetor, what has to be changed? Where/who would be a place to get it done at? About how much will it cost?
thanks

Re: 220 needs rings

220..oh where oh where my oil gone too

dual mag 220, boat runs real good, just going through a lot of oil. did compression test and had 110,115,120,115,125,110. was noticing oil in blow tube, so add oil/air separator, no more oil in tube but still using a lot of oil. no oil in boat or on rudders. Sunday i put in at lone cabbage and ran t...

Re: prop bolt stipped on adapter

can't see down the bolt hole very well, with a pin light it looks ok, but when you try to tighten it to 40ftlbs, it get snug and then spins.

Re: warp drive or water walker sig

i have been using a 6 blade warp drive on my 220 for 13 years and only issues is the noise. it will run dry and like it has been said they like 2700-2800 rpm. just it to find the sweet spot and it should push. (just my one cent worth)

Re: Prop for 220gpu

Patti, thanks for the info. i'm not set on any one brand of prop, just looking for performance. you talked about 72" prop, is it a true 72" from end to end? was told some may be 71.5". reason i'm asking is my prop clearance with a 72" will be 1 3/8 "; thought the 70" will give more snap, more cleara...

Prop for 220gpu

OK, I thought I knew what I wanted until I read all the different opinions. I have a 13' combee 17" sides with a dual mag 220 with 500 holly, double back seat, single front. What I had in mind was a 70' ngq. Now it may sounds like it's may be too much prop. Is there any one in the Cocoa area running...
