Yup those B&M coolers are good. That's what I'm running. Motor stays right around 180 deg all the time.

Re: need oil cooler

I don't think you will find a "new stock" 220 oil cooler. But you should have no problem finding a good clean used one. A good quality automatic transmission cooler will work good too.

I believe the 550 uses the same jug as the 520. The 550 just has a longer stroke.

Take the truck to a transmission shop that you trust and have them service it. A 4x4 is suppose to shift kind of hard.

Re: 520 GTSIO conversion

You can use the GBU intake tubes as is but you will have to modify the stock intake manafold to allow the use of a auto 4 barrel carb.

I buy gas from the Micco marina all the time. Their ethanol free gas is 91 octane too.

Re: Avaition Fuel

Valkaria airport has a new AV gas pump outside the fence that is available 24/7. You will need a Phillips 66 credit card to do the self serve after hours though. Other credit cards and debit cards might work too but I have never used anything but my Phillips card.

Re: IF YOU RUN SOUTH RIVER PLEASE READ THIS

I have spent the last two hours picking over the South River with a fine tooth comb on Google Earth. I "may" have found soemthing. I was trying to see why they might want us out of that area. I found a "structure" (?) of some kind I have never seen before and I have been down there a LOT in the pas...

Re: Whirl Wind ? Prop ?

I don't think it would be a good idea to cut down the Whirl Wind blades. The metal cutting edge wraps around the end of the blade and cutting it off might cause a failure. Call Danny like suggested. He can set you up with the blades you need.

Re: sprayer juice

Sprayers are illeagal to run in Florida according to Travis Franklin our local FWC so why risk using one? But if your not worried about the legal aspect you might as well run the slickest stuff you can get. Soap is much cheaper than diesel fuel these days.

Permatex makes a product called Super High Tack gasket sealant. I've had good luck using it to stop leaky valve covers.
