Call Buddy Branch! He has a guy that can do it. He has one of my 500 cranks now getting the thrust face welded. He says a welded thrust face can be stronger than the original.

Waldron or Silers sells bushels of peanuts just add 2 boxes of salt cook and let sit about an hour, bag'em and freeze.

I've already been in contact with buddy. He does have a guy in Brooksville. I was just checking to see if anyone closer could be trusted. Crank came out of a car and thrust face is good.

Cadillac crankshaft

I have a 500 crankshaft I need to get turned. Who is a reputable machine shop that knows what they are doing with a cadillac crank? I'm in Ocala area but will travel if needed.

Not sure. But i do know there is no harmonic balancer on my motor. How can I tell? I've thought about getting the aluminum pulleys but the price stopped that thought.

One eye i got your number. I'll call you when I get ready to pull intake off. For all i know it could already be welded up. Just waiting on gaskets to get here now. Thanks everyone for the help and advice.

If i had intake cross over welded shut wouldn't that block the port on the head as well? Or should I still have a plug made?

Thanks! Yes it is an Edelbrock intake. I will order the gaskets from MTS. I've already been given the blank stare by the auto parts guys that can't help you unless the computer tells them something.

500 cadillac is valley pan needed?

I have aluminum intake and im about to replace my lifters but i have read all kinds of reviews about the tin valley pan gasket. Do i need it or can i get the paper intake gaskets? I haven't pulled my intake off yet to see whats in it now, I'd like to have all the parts needed so when i do tear into ...

My blades are 33" long so I'm assuming my prop is a 68"? I guess I could quit being lazy and go measure the darn thing..lol

I believe it's a 72" in good shape. I'd like to try for $1,800. Yes powershift is now water walker.
