Re: p0087 silverado duramax

Yeah I don’t know how the bypass would go bad. They sell a rebuild kit for the housing that includes everything that goes bad. Mostly it is the prongs either in fuel heater or primer bulb. That is where you will see bubbles when you try to pump a lot of pressure to it, fuel bubbling out under pressu...

Re: p0087 silverado duramax

While I agree filter housings go bad usually you can tell without replacing by hitting the primer bulb on top and seeing if holds prime. If bad you will see bubbles or fuel from wherever air is getting in. Worth a shot but save some time and see if priming bulb is showing signs of loosing prime

Re: p0087 silverado duramax

I would run down all fuel lines and squeeze any rubber line to see if soft.

Re: p0087 silverado duramax

Pump or fuel lines collapsing. There is a bulletin about 2 lines close to the motor getting worn out and since holding prime is from creating vacuum, if these lines are soft they will collapse when full load vacuum.

Re: 220 won't idle ?

Sounds like a small intake leak to me. Those rubber seals on intake tubes rot out and if sucking small amount of air will do what you are talking about. When throttle down the leak is not big enough to affect engine up high.

Re: 502 power VS torque

As I would love to read your attachment and comment why they state what they do it has not openness in multiple attempts. Again Work=Force X Distance so work is not power. I hate quoting wiki but look up thrust on wiki may help. Understand I never said torque does the work I said force(thrust) does ...

Re: 502 power VS torque

I know there has to be one engineer in this thread and it sounds like explanations have been poorly conveyed due to excessive explanation. First HP does not move a boat force does so wrong formulas are being used. F(thrust)=m(prop)xacceleration(related to torque). This would conclude that you have s...

Re: am i wrong? NOT an AC vs. Carboat question.

I would say the boat you describe in your initial post is not far fetched. Most of the boats we fish with on the west coast on the gulf are like you describe i.e. Two side by side with bench down below and love that set up.Take bench seat out for deck when fishing 2. My last boat had a GPU run dry g...

Re: Lycomming IGSO 540

You would be lucky to get 3,500 for each engine sight unseen. Then you have shipping that will probably cost that much. Depending on what else is in the lot 3,500 is about what you will get over here for both taking shipping into account

Re: Lycomming IGSO 540

Depends on what you want for the lot and how much you want to ship them. Shipping sounds like more than what airboaters are willing to pay for one. Do you have price in mind?
