Sunken Poles north side of Hatchineha

Watch out for them poles on the north side. There is one I haven't seen before on the outside of the grass line in the northwest corner. It is just before or just past where the canal is that leads into Lake Hatchineha. I see that someone put flags, cones, and a marker around the pole near London Cr...

Re: Running in salt water

Where are you guys running in salt water with airboats? Every place I’ve been in my skiff I would never take my airboat. Many idle zones with huge wake from aholes driving around

Re: anyone running a 350 with 2.1 box?

Well I currently run a 400 with a belt box. Does really well for me. I only started this thread because I had to do some fixing. Had to replace the head gaskets because I think the steam holes worked one loose. . Put in some high dollar gaskets, aluminum locking rockers, new rods and lifters. Runnin...

Re: anyone running a 350 with 2.1 box?

The real question we need to ask is

Will a bass boat fly if you put wings on it? My lord, they already rip 100 mph by me on the ditch and now they draft so shallow they fish in the f#%*in airboat trail.

MADNESS

Re: anyone running a 350 with 2.1 box?

SORRY ABOUT THE HI-JACK Keith Riddle me this one...…. IF on a dyno..... torque and horsepower always cross at 5252 rpm and IF someone built and ran their engine below 5252 rpm then would it not really only be about the TORQUE ? TORQUE it's what horsepower envies ! Do you know what Torque said to Ho...

Re: PROP or ENGINE SHAKE???? above 4,000rpm

The spark plugs will tell you. Mine were wet on one cylinder which was the one where the coolant was getting by. It slowly got worse until it was smoking. At first, it would not smoke only sputter every now and then. I first stopped to see if the prop was ok because I thought it was wobbling or shak...

Re: PROP or ENGINE SHAKE???? above 4,000rpm

I had an issue where at times I also thought it was a wobble or something to do with the prop. Turns out, coolant was getting past my head gasket on one side. Replaced both head gaskets high performance ones and no issues. Might be worth checking the spark plugs after the symptoms appear to see if a...

I have seen them for sale but I have been happy with my 12k boat and was worried to spend that much on a boat lol

That thing better have wings and be able to fly to square pond instead of run to it

How much weight can you carry

On my skiff there is a sticker that says x number of people or x amount of weight. Typically this translates into some non-corn fed sized people. There’s no such sticker on the airboat. I see some boats rollin around with some Polk county sized people. Seems too much for the boat but the boats getti...

Re: Air fuel ratio for direct drive

Hmmmm. I can’t speak for the EFI deal. I want the setup you have but don’t feel like messing with it. My carb setup runs a 165* thermostat with no holes or anything drilled. I added a bottle of a Lucas coolant product with my dex cool coolant. It runs at 170 to 180. Will rise to 200 if you shit down...

Re: Air fuel ratio for direct drive

What temp is it getting to. Took a little bit to get the air out of my system. Let it sit for a few with the burp tank cap off. It would burp and need some more fluid. Ran it on the trailer for a bit and topped it off. Topped it off a week later before ride and it was good to go

Re: everones thoughts on cotton mouth hulls??

I have a 13’6” cotton mouth and have no complaints. People say they are pretty heavy, but my runs pretty good. It seems very stable in my opinion. I have stood on the back corner in deep water and was not close to topping it, water only came up to where the mufflers dump out the back.
