Re: New AirRanger Set up ?
Hard to say without seeing the terrain you were stuck on, I know everwhere the conditions are significantly different. That being said i have a heavy boat like yours 16x8 though, minus the bowfishing rail/lights. Its 500+hp ls3 with a 2.3-1 belt and 3 blade whirlwind ex,not sure of the pitch but tur...

Yep, big time thief, rightly named "Affliction" because they cause customers pain and suffering, do your research, hes a snake hiding in the grass hiding in the smoke screen, he shoulda been in the pokey a long time ago, hope he gets his karma.

Re: I'm Building 2 Stossel Boats with High Torque Motors
It's crazy how fast the weight adds up, I bet once the weight is all trimmed down and the boats are revamped them boats are going to run great. You definitely make your boats earn their keep. Thanks for posting all the little details and pics, this thread has been very interesting.

Re: Affliction airboats Jeff love
It's about time, he must have finally screwed over the wrong guy, you can only slither through the grass unseen for so long, once the smoke clears and the sun starts shining you can tell clear as day, there before you is a lovely crooked snake. I hope he has to pay all his victims of affliction a hef...

10-4, Thanks Kwan, was hoping he would post more dry running and maybe an update on how his hull was holding up to the use.

Re: Building a 70k airboat
The same goes for trucks, houses, boats, etc. You can drive a $2500 beater or a new 70k diesel just how much you choose to spend and how much fixing up you want to do and how much function, performance and dependability mean to you and your family. I am not as mechanically inclined as most if you and d...

Re: 18x8 with 450Hp LS3
For what it's worth, my 16x8 with just over 500hp has no problems dry loading/unloading, and has no problems running dry or crossing any levees or pulling up on banks with a load. I guess it's all in the setup like they always say. Just curious how heavy these big boats are that cant run across wet ...

Re: Water Walker vs sensenich
I had a WW cypress series on my 0360 and it pushed pretty darn good, not much top end but plenty of low end grunt on the ground, mine was very durable and has been sent through the wringer and still is running the marsh to this day,I will say the WW was more of a biotch to adjust pitch though. JMO

Re: Thoughts on 4 cylinder boats
My old 0360 180 hp boat would handle that all day long. It was lightweight and setup correctly. As stated above keep weight to a minimum. IMO for the money they are hard to beat and I am in the same boat as Rick(pun intended) once the kids grow up my retirement boat will be 180-200,lightweight haman...

Really depends how bad you need money. As a first job to get in the door I see that being a decent wage as long as they dont stay at that wage long depending on their performance. Now an experienced adult with work ethic and clean driving/criminal records that pay better be increased substantially i...

Re: Leaking oil from jug
My old boat with a 180 had a head separating which was causing a slow leak as you describe. I replaced the cylinder and that leak was gone, but that oil on the rudders was always there and just kept the bugs from sticking.....lol..

Re: Going to have new boat built soon
I say go with the Ls, that is plenty of power to push a deep sided 15x8 and should be a point and go boat loaded down. Has to be a reason most car motor boats being built now are Ls powered. More power, less weight, plenty reliable.

Holy smokes! I would say that is pretty damn extreme. Experienced operator with very capable machine. Bad a$$... Pucker x10, that river looks like it would eat up a lesser boat for breakfast.
