Re: Important

The "evidence "of the President's Russian involvement was provided by the Clinton campaign, investigated for 3 years and proved false. President Trump has done more good for the USA in four years than Biden has in 47. Joe Biden ,career politician, reads a room and tries to tell them what t...

Aluminum hull refit

Howdy folks, A buddy of mine inherited an aluminum hull w/ a 180 Lycoming. The boat runs great after a little work. Biggest problem now is leaky rivets, including some under the stringers. The boat has 1/4 poly. The question is is it worth fixing each rivet or maybe getting a new hull? Suggestions? T...

slipping ring gear

Hey Guys,

The ring gear on my 0-360 is slipping, it spins but doesn't turn the flywheel. . It's been peened a few times and looks like somebody shot with bird shot. Is replacement of the flyywheel and ring gear the best option? Thanks for your help. Ed

Re: oil temp

I blocked air flow on half the oil cooler and temp came up to 140 after running the engine for about 5 minutes. CHTs were around 300 by temp gun. Seems as if the cooler air temps and larger cooler are keeping the oil temp down. What size oil cooler should an o360 have in Florida? Seems like the 1st ...

Re: oil temp

The temp was reading up to 220 with the old oil cooler, so a bigger cooler was put on. I will get a temp gun and check for difference in temps at inlet and outlet then post the results.. Thank you all for your inputs. It is very much appreciated.

Lean/rich settings for 180Lycoming

Hey guys,
I'm running a Lycoming 0360 with an MA 4-5 carb. What should I run the lean/rich lever at? Ive been told to run it full rich to keep the engine cool but also to lean it out to save fuel. Any comments are apreciated. Thanks, Ed
