Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

Yea I saw that as I kept reading. GM actually has the pin out of the PCM plugs in those instructions. I have the location and wire color and know I am looking for a 3 wire connector for that sensor. I'll see if its in the harness. Hopefully its one of the plugs I assumed was for the transmmission.

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

Boat looks great Russ. Looks like there is a fuel pressure sensor intergral to the in-tank low pressure fuel pump. I still don't know if the PCM will require that signal as the LTG Crate Motor instructions suggest you can use other fuel pumps as long as they supply fuel at the necessary pressure and...

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

I don’t remember a wire for the fuel pressure sensor in the harness. I wonder if Swaptime tuned that out? I would think the computer will be looking for that signal.

Thanks for the part number.

Forgot about the fuel pressure sensor. I’ll have to see what that requires for compatibility.

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

Russ, The harness is not set up for the factory FCM. Its just a hot wire to turn the pump on when the ignition is on. I was going to try an external pump and return system with a fuel pressure regulator down stream before the high perssure pump to keep from having to modify my existing fuel tank. Do...

Skinnypockets, I would contact Mitch at Swap Time if you need a harness and ECU. Let me know if you want his contact info.

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

Billcollector I would be interested in a 2.0 LTG 1" adapter. I have not yet spoken to a peson or company that can provide me one. Jerremy at Rotator was very helpful but said he only had an adapter for the LHU which is differnet than the LTG. I was able to speak to Shane at Ballstic and sent hi...

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

I think you were the one that gave me that site address before. It was a bear to get the diagrams to come up. I ended up having to use an old retired laptop due to some compatibility issues I could not fully grasp. I did get a lot of great info but it was not what I expected. I was hoping I would hav...

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

Ok...more on this harness. It was made by Mitch at Swap Time for a guy who changed his mind on the swap he was doing. ..this harness started life as a 2016 Camaro LTG harness. My motor came out of a front wheel drive Malibu. Routing of the harness on the motor is quite a bit different. So I’m lookin...

Look like 32GPH @ 60psi is what the fuel pump needs to deliver to the high pressure engine mounted pump.

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

I did cheat. I will have to do a few modifications but pretty minimal. Harness was built by Mitch at Swap Time. He also flashed the ECM.... which is not locked :) . I need to pick a good external fuel pump and put together a return fuel system. I think I'm going to take the wire that would have turn...

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

Played with the AHP ALPHA TIG 201XD yesterday. Went straight to the 16 gauge stainless to make myself as miserable as possible. That stuff is a bit challenging. I have mastered the art of tacking with or without filler but running any length of bead without heating the small pieces up too much is a ...

We work on the frogs so hard in Louisiana they close the season on us for April and May. And no shooting.

I actually saw a pic of one of those signs in a video about the park. I was wondering what the hell they were talking about.

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

Planning a week hiking trip to Olympic National Park with my son. That will slow progress a bit but we still moving along. Scored some 304 stainless tube, aluminum and 304 plate for a good price. As a side note I would imagine all that stainless rigging I see was not back purged when it was welded. ...
