Re: Help Staying on plane. LS2 6.0, rotator 2.37, 80" Sensinich R

The wider hull was what I meant with my comment. My boat is rounded in the back and is narrowest at the transom. Moved the weight forward some and it freed up and stayed on plane easier. Cam rpm to power would be very helpful also

Re: Help Staying on plane. LS2 6.0, rotator 2.37, 80" Sensinich R

When your on plane how does the hull feel compared to the water line ? Does it feel level or like the rear of the boat is sitting down in the water ? Sounds like a lot of throttle to get on plane possibly cause the rear is dragging. Maybe move weight towards front of boat to see if anything changes....

Re: Rear heavy? Porpoising / hopping

Yes motor down in the back pushes your bow down. Same as trimming an outboard engine. Raise it and it will lift the bow.

They carry Ariat jeans and they have the best prices on them than anybody else. They’re not the cheapest, but they’re nice jeans.

Going to have new boat built soon

I’m going to have a new boat built by GTO in the very near future. Either 16x8 with 509 BBC or 15x8 with LS3. Both will be 3/4 deck walkarounds. BBC is 520hp/610ftlbs torque, LS3 is 550hp+/560ftlbs torque and all aluminum supposed to weight about 390lbs or so. Question is longevity. Which one do ya’...

Re: TURD Talkin

That's an old school palm beach style dogleg steering. Tightest I've ever driven. Can't beat a riveted hull. I have a riveted Hull also for right now I like it a lot. Not good for where I run though. I have mechanical steering as well and my new boat will be the same. Definently prefer mechanical o...

I like mine a lot. Can keep my eyes on the little ones. My friends like it cause they’re higher up and can see more of what’s going on when they sit up top with me.

Re: Redfish Reports

Went out today. Tide never really came in. Had to abuse the boat a little bit. Caught a lot of shorts and 3 in the slot. Nothing crazy. Brought home a 21&22”. Looking froward to next time.

I wonder if fish taste different over there? I wouldn’t have kept the redfish if I had flounder and trout!

Had a good day with the wife Saturday. Caught about 20-25 fish total. Spent 2 hrs at the first stop,3hrs total. Had a good time, took these home. Wouldn’t have kept the trout or flounder, but she says she’s sick of eating redfish.

:angry5: Decent 25” about 2.5 weeks ago. Lots of fish moving but had to cut it short. Oil leak... Looking forward to some cooler weather and easy pickens.

Re: Need Advice

Well, we got nine years out of the first set of stainless flex pipe and Flowmasters, and have three years so far on the second set. I expect to get several more years out of these, as we found that on the first set, the flex pipe was under quite a bit of stress, which we alleviated in routing the p...
