I believe that “fish camps” in this instance means simple houseboats without onboard power.

Pine Island Bay, then north, as far as Fish Creek and Haulover, which is just south of Chaz.

Re: Running in salt water

I forgot to note in my previous post that my boat has all stainless rigging. I had a 12’ fiberglass (no poly) DD Buick 350 boat from @ ‘83-‘90 that had a conduit cage and square tubing rigging. I fought a never ending battle with rust, replacing the engine stand once, and cutting/replacing other pie...

I run 100% in the saltwater; aluminum hull with no poly.

Boat is almost 13 years old now with no problems.

Looking for someone to build a solid grass rake for a 16x8 diamondback. Not looking for anything groundbreaking just standard solid grass rake with a step. For a reasonable price. Any suggestions? Diamondback is almost 2-2.5 months out and is $3750  Floral city acted like they didn’t need th...

Re: HI-AMP FMD

This is on a 1980 Panther 15x7 and the hull inside and outside is very good for 39 years. The anode has very little pitting and the boat will probably spend the rest of it's life on fresh water. There’re three different types of anodes that I know of; made for freshwater, saltwater, and brackish wa...

I could see the benefits of using one, particularly on a boat like mine that does more sitting than running in the summertime. :thumbleft:

I’m running an 11 year old boat that has an aluminum hull with no poly, 100% in the salt water. Contrary to popular opinions, I won’t have on my boat. Mine has no leaks, and has run over more rock and oyster bars than many will ever see. I know a few guys that have poly on their hulls, and they all...

I run 90 octane ethanol free gas with PRI-G fuel stabilizer in everything but my autos; which includes outboards, motorcycles, airboat, and all my smalll engine powered “stuff.”

I’ve done that for many years now, and have never had any fuel related issues with anything.
