Re: Clear coating bare aluminum, should I?

The last shooting I did was an Armscor 1911 in 9mm/22TCM a couple months ago for a TE review for M1911.ORG (t...

Re: Clear coating bare aluminum, should I?

Sharkhide is a product that’s used by many pontoon boat owners to coat their pontoons after they’ve polished them, and many speak favorably of it.

I have no first hand experience with the product, as I have better things to waste my time on than polishing pontoons...

I agree.

I had an airboat years ago that would have never have run dry ground (I never even tried), but it had no trouble bumping up and over rock and oyster bars.

Damn!

I’ve been running and riding in airboats for 50+ years, and have never heard of, much less seen, such a thing.

That’ll make you go to church (and buy a lotto ticket, too!) :angel4:

Well, we got nine years out of the first set of stainless flex pipe and Flowmasters, and have three years so far on the second set. I expect to get several more years out of these, as we found that on the first set, the flex pipe was under quite a bit of stress, which we alleviated in routing the p...

Believe this material is close to optimal overall. If you go with this, do not say the words "Air Boat" when talking with them. http://www.superslide.com/products/hoppers-bins/yellow-quartz I know it's not local to the area you asked about, but since you are looking for 3/8 this material ...

Mine generally runs at 125-137.5 F, so I don’t know that the oil is getting hot enough to make an oil cooler necessary.

It’s been running in that temp range for over 11 years now (without an oil cooler.)

I’ve been running the Perco switch and dual batteries in boats for many years without issue.

I currently have that same setup in both an airboat and a pontoon boat.

Mine does too, if I really get on it when loaded down.

When I’m by myself, only about the last three feet of the hull is touching the water when on the plane.
