Re: Why am I losing control in Shallow Water?
Probably making contact with the bottom of the creek? Agreed, move to where it is maybe a foot deep to where the boat isn't touching the bottom when stoped

Re: Airboat information
I have tried to do some lake work with an airboat and found it was very difficult to pull anything with the flat bottom. Started using a light v hull jon boat to pull the weighted aeration hose where we could carry the hull to the water by hand then put an outboard on it. We couldn't pull a straight...

Re: Leak stop?
Ok looking deeper into it, it doesn't look that bad to change. I was under the assumption that I had to open the case to get to it. Anyone know the best place to find the seal? Located in Melbourne

Re: Leak stop?
I have stopped a lot of the leaks by getting gaskets changed out. Most of the oil is coming from the rear seal around the crank shaft and I'm assuming that's expensive to have replaced so I was looking for an easy solution

My 220 gpu leaks more than it burns. I know theyll always leak some but im looking to reduce it. Has anyone used leak stop products from the autoparts store successfully? Will it damage the motor?

He was still going in the same style on the morning of the 7th. Ran over our bait line twice. Sorry to hear about the crash but heads up he's still going in the same manner

Re: New hull ideals
For running dry we run about 350 yards of pasture to get to our hunting spot or getting out to oak head. I'm running the st johns between stick marsh and 528. Not going vertical up a hill . Most of the jumps we come across have wood on them to make it easier. Just something I can hunt out of with ma...

New hull ideals
Looking for some input on what to look at for in a new hull (aluminum with poly prefered). Currently have 12 foot glass hull with single front double rear seat pushed by a 220 with a 72 inch 2 blade. We want a 4 seat boat but don't have the funds for a new power plant. Will only be running dry with ...

Re: 220 gpu restart issues
I'll have to look into the carb issue. I plan on rewiring the boat to go to very thick cables in the near future to try and keep everything from heating up

220 gpu restart issues
I'm having trouble getting my 220 with a holly carb to restart after running it for a while and shutting it off. It'll strain the starter and sound like there's a lot of resistance in the motor. If I wait 15 minutes or so it'll restart better. Anyone else run into this before? Is it a starter, motor...

North Carolina
It's looking like I'll be moving up to Raleigh North Carolina soon for work. Is there any airboating near Raleigh or will the boat just sit in the yard. It's a 12 foot glass hull with 220 gpu so I'm trying to stay away from big open water runs. Thanks in advanced!
