72" WT to a 68" 6bld WD

Hey yall, looking for some clarification again. on my 350 direct drive, I was running a 72" whisper tip On a small block with no pistons left. I've got a fresh motor and I just picked up a 68" 6 blade warp drive prop. I've been told and read a lot of things that a warp drive can be cranked up anywhe...

Re: Is this from detonation?

Do yall think my Motorcraft 2100 2bbl carb was an issue as Mr. Fenner suggest a very lean condition. I believe its a 350 cfm. Just got my replacement short block. My set up is 305 swirl port heads, standard 350 block and rotating assembly. ordering gaskets, main bearings as well as cam bearings and ...

Re: Is this from detonation?

It was #3 cylinder. #1 had just started to do the the same. I run a Ford 2100 2bbl. I dont know jet sizes. But I have since found that my distributor was slap wore out. The bushings between the pin and weights was completely gone (both sides) and I believe from the markings under the rotor, im now t...

Well? Who got the best of it? Well it was 5 vs 2. But them center console boys were some big ol boys. My fellow airboaters were trying to avoid punches from all directions... Not that it was an all out brawl.. But if 5 big dudes were advancing my direction i wouldnt be squaring up with none of em e...

Re: Leave the pcv valve on or take it out pros and cons

I know this is old, I read this post researching in regards to my motor staying wet with oil @ the breather on my valve cover. So on my SBC DD, I'm running a pcv valve on one valve cover, an a filter/breather on the other valve cover. This setup is incorrect by what I'm reading here... Correct.? I l...

Don't judge me, but I'm running a 2bbl motorcraft.... 350cfm I don't know the specifics but I can slide f o r e v e r on a half tank of fuel/30 gal tank, spin a 72" wispertip at 2900ish and can get outta the water and then back off the banks with a full load, Ford parts or not...might be dumb but it...

Re: Prop weight...

Gotcha, I don't run it, never have, just collecting everything needed, like I said the wood prop came with my project. So its more or less just to hang on the wall. I recently bought the whispertip, I'm running the whispertip regardless when the boat is ready, I appreciate every ones input. Not know...
